Personally, I like CMN. Unlike Willie's over-all losing record and rumors of being disorganized, CMN has a reputation of neither. He did very well at Memphis, but it's concerning (to me) he didn't win a single bowl game during his tenure.Igloo what's your take on Norvell? What does he need to do in year 3 to keep his job? I have to think the seat is a little warm.
Furthermore, I don't think folks give enough credit to the state of our program when CMN took over. While Florida has gone though some coaches, your program was never really left in complete disarray; Muschamp and Mac didn't just throw in the towel like Jimbo did. His divorce took a toll on him and then when TAM came calling he completely abandoned the program. When Willie came in, he put most of his focus on academics, getting our grad rates back to where they needed to be, but his assistant hires were atrocious and he was just in over his head. It doesn't help that early signing periods screw new-hire coaches in recruiting.
I think CMN needs another season to get his guys on the team. What I liked about this year's team is I never saw them quit (unlike the teams from 2016-2020). If he can have an 8-4 type season next year, I think he's plenty safe.
