Four-star safety John Huggins, who recently decommitted from Florida State, plans on taking an official visit to the University of Florida this upcoming weekend. Huggins does not have a leaderboard right now, but he did say that he will be visiting Louisville and Nebraska as well on official visits. Inside the Gators will have a more thorough update on Huggins later.

He decommitted from FSU because they didn’t have a coach. FSU has had about 6-7 decommitments for the same reason. UF has had a few as well. It’s par for the course when coaching changes happen.

We pulled the scholarship. No room
Did FSU pull the scholarship of the other 6-7 guys that decommitted from FSU as well because there is no room? No room for what?

Did this guy not decommit after Fisher left?

This is what happens when there are coaching changes.

Huh? Taggart wasn’t even hired yet when they decommitted.

There was nobody on FSUs staff to give out or pull offers because they weren’t even sure if they would be retained.

I personally like the kid, but it was made pretty clear recently that Taggart wasnt going to re-recruit him. Don't know why. He is re-recruiting all the other decommitments, save for Houston Griffith, who just committed to Notre Dame.

It is not because there is no room. There is, in fact, still plenty of room for him and about 12-15 more recruits. Here is what has been happening over the past week...

Some he is going after again. Some he is not messing with. Some that were still committed have been told to look elsewhere. Taggert seems to be making some tough decisions based on the type of offense/defense he wants to run. It is probably good int he long run for the players as well since he is being honest with them up front before they sign and end up not fitting the system. Why waste their precious eligibility and FSU's time if the HC does not see them getting on the field too much?
