The Florida Gators had a historic offensive performance in their series finale against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Gators hit a program-record eight home runs as they completed their series sweep versus the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Sophomore left-handed pitcher Jac Caglianone had an okay performance on the mound but crushed it at the plate. On the mound, Caglianone threw 4.2 innings allowing two hits, three runs, four walks, and six strikeouts.

Freshman left-hander Cade Fisher came in relief for Caglianone and Blake Purnell who only faced two batters. He picked up the first win of his collegiate career. Fisher threw 1.2 innings allowing five hits, two runs, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Closer Brandon Neely came in the seventh inning and recorded the final outs to secure the sweep and picked up his second save of the season. Neely pitched 2.2 innings allowing two hits, two runs, one walk, and three strikeouts.

The Florida offense had an excellent game against the Bearcats’ pitching staff. Florida scored thirteen runs on thirteen hits and eight home runs. Starting pitcher Jac Caglianone hit for himself for the first time this season and went off offensively. Caglianone went 3-5 with three home runs and five RBIs.

Shortstop Josh Rivera also had a multi-homer game as he went 3-4 with two home runs and four RBIs. Two freshmen homered in the series finale as Cade Kurland went 2-5 with a solo home run and Luke Heyman went 2-4 with a solo home run as well.

Catcher BT Riopelle continues to produce at the plate as he went 2-4 with a double and a walk. Third baseman Colby Halter went 1-4 with a no-doubt solo home run to RF and Wyatt Langford went 0-1 but reached base four times on two walks and hit by pitches.
