GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida Gators Sports Properties, LEARFIELD’s dedicated team representing the University Athletic Association (UAA), has announced Gator Collective as a new sponsor of the Florida Gators.
The Gator Collective is a third-party entity whose mission is to provide fans with exclusive access to, and experiences with, their favorite current Gator athletes. By providing these experiences, it allows them to compensate athletes for their name, image and likeness (NIL). The sponsorship between Florida Athletics and the Gator Collective is separate from any activity related to funds that may be allocated to athletes as part of NIL opportunities.
“We are excited to welcome the Gator Collective as a new sponsor of Florida Athletics,” said Scott Stricklin, Athletics Director at the University of Florida. “The NIL space is governed by our state statute along with NCAA Bylaws and the Gator Collective provides fans a way to support NIL opportunities for athletes within those rules.”
