Florida Baseball 2025

D1 Baseball Top 25 as of this morning - Florida has completely dropped out (#13 last week). Top 5 is Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida State, Oregon State. We play FSU at 6 pm in Jacksonville - no TV that I'm aware of.
It will be broadcast on the ACC network.

Philpott is the poster boy for UF pitching last 5 years. Guy throws high 90s with disgusting breaking stuff and he either strikes everyone out or else gets behind in the count and gets yoked.

Take the lead in the top of the 9th and then blow in the bottom of the 9th. Thbis is the 2nd time in a week that our supposed "closer" couldn't get it done. We've lost 7 of our last 8 games, with Ole miss coming up. Not looking good.

Getting bombed early in Oxford. What are you going to do. King and McNealie are supposed to be our best healthy pitchers. You would think both have all SEC talent. If they can’t get anyone out, what can you do?

Pitching is killing us and we cant outhit everyone with this line up but daughter is having a blast cheering on the Rebels.

We are just not very good currently. Maybe with some upside if we get healthy. But our lineup looks average SEC, if that. We have zero power and the top teams in the SEC are blasting homers all over the place. And our pitching is bottom half SEC. Now you’re seeing guys like King, McNealie starting to struggle. Seems to be a regular thing where we’re 2-0 to every hitter and we start every ab 0-2. And all sully talks about is getting in good counts so it’s very confusing.

Sully is over there looking like he’s going to throw a chair in the dugout with the walks but we start every batter off with a breaking ball off the plate. I don’t get it.

I guess that Sully was long over-due for a season like this.....
Truthfully it’s been a few seasons that we’ve been pitching like this. Very odd. Pitching used to be our thing. And we still get every pitching recruit we want. And these guys all throw mid to high 90s and nasty breaking stuff. I don’t know if it’s our approach or what, but these guys get lit up.

Sure looked like Shelton just doubled with the bases loaded. They called it foul but it looked inside the line. We didn’t challenge for some reason.

Then they challenge a double play slide and win the replay and they take the tying run off the board. Crazy sequence.

He also frosted his hair in the offseason. Bad juju.
I was with my grandson at that Florida Georgia basketball game. Sully and the baseball team came out on the court at halftime throwing shirts into the stands and almost everyone around us noticed his frosted hair.
