How is Texas behind uga? It’s hilarious that Florida and LSU are higher, but why not Texas? Based purely on head to head this poll is nonsensical

They might have noticed that TX lost to both unranked Maryland and OkSt, while going 1-1 with Choke-la-homo...

Huh? Texas lost 4 games this year that is why. LSU, UF and UGA lost 3 games. Pretty straightforward if you ask me.

Schedule is good bit tougher than this past season's.

Miami<Florida
Kentucky=Florida
Tennessee<Florida
Auburn<Florida
LSU >Florida
Georgia>Florida
Missouri=Florida
Florida State<Florida

<Favorites
>Underdogs
=Pick Em

It's always nice to come in ranked ahead of the defending 2 time, back to back, self appointed, national champions. Gotta be doing something right.
Except beating said self anointed national champions and playing a title game. Other than that, moral victory is intact.

I got your moral victory swingin' buttsniffer...

10-3 #6 UF 27 ---- 19 LSU ----- W #10 UF 41 - 15 Mich #7 10-2

10-3 # 7 LSU 36 - 16 UGly ----- W #11 LSU 40 - 32 UCF #8 12-0

10-3 #8 UGly 36 - 17 UF -------- L - #5 UGly 21 - 28 TX #15 8-4

Both UF and LSU beat higher ranked teams in their bowls.
UGly lost to a much lower ranked team in their bowl.

With Florida, Georgia and LSU, you had an A beat B beat C beat A scenario so someone who beat another was going to be behind them. With Texas and Georgia you don’t, so that extra loss to Texas must have been the difference maker for many, not entirely unreasonable, but if within one would usually elevate the other team.

With GA, FL and KY you had a pecking order but the LSU and other games and unfortunately for them KY hideous history made things seem about right. Forgot KY other loss outside GA and TXAM.

These polls are a joke. Except for the committee rankings to get in the playoff they just reward having your losses earlier in the season (and being ranked higher earlier) for the most part if you aren't in the playoff.

Uh huh. And you got ripped by Kentucky and Mizzou.

That would be my top 11 just looking at it quickly. I would have Georgia the top 3 loss team for one of the losses being in the SECCG. Florida, LSU and KY all have arguments with head to head etc. but I think that would be about right.

Uh huh. And you got ripped by Kentucky and Mizzou.

Vs UK, 2nd game with New Coaches and systems.
Also starting MLB out with sprained ankle.
And Top rated Fr All SEC CB out on 1st play of game, forcing a tFr CB into the game.
That might have had an effect on UF's passing and rushing defense...
Mizzou had a pretty good QB, and he had a banner day, with UF coming off the loss to the leghumpers. Do-Do occurs.

The Gators ended the season with 4 wins, the last to against Top 30 defenses (FSU & Mich).

The buttsniffers ended their season with 2 losses, the last to the #15 ranked team with 4 losses, 2 of them to NR teams...

And what will any of that mean for you next Year? Dick.

Next year will consist of different teams/players.
And what will any of that mean for you next Year? Dick.

However, UF will have the same coaching staff (UGly losing both OC and DC) and a constantly improving roster (Top 10 2019 Class), with 16 key playing time Sr's returning.

FS J.Taylor Sr
MLB Reese Sr
OLB K.Johnson rsSr
ILB R.Jackson rsSr
DE Zuniga
DE/DT L.Ancrum rsSr
NT M.Dunlap Sr

WR Jefferson rsSr
WR Cleveland Sr
WR Swain Sr
WR Hammond Sr
RB Perine Sr
OG/OC McCoy rsSr
OG/OC Buchanan rsSr
OG Villano rsSr
P Townsend rsSr

How-bout that,,, dick... :p --- :D

Hey we ran roughshod through everyone and was averaging nearly 70 points a game in our 1995 undefeated season. Then we ran into Nebraska in the national title game and that didn't go well. You don't see anyone around here talking about how great that was and what an awesome moral victory it was for us.

The difference is we failed in a national title in one year, and WON it the next. You guys got worse in your second year.

L 1995 -- #2 UF vs #1 Neb
Heisman Danny was 1-1 in NC games.
W 1996 -- #2 UF vs #1 FSU

W 2006 -- #2 UF vs #1 tOSU w/Heisman QB
Heisman Tim was 2-0 in NC games.
W 2008 -- #2 UF vs #1 Choker-la-homa w/Heisman QB

UF is 2-0 vs Heisman QB's in NC games.
UF is 3-1 in NC games when they have the Heisman QB
And UF is 3-1 vs #1 ranked teams in NC games... o_O

For the last 40 years, Jawja has mostly been an 'Also Ran' team...

You're going to be disappointed 89. :)
It's hard to be disappointed when your college degree doesn't come from a box of cracker jacks, but sadly, you Athens folks just don't understand that one till it comes time to look for a job.

Who remembers this dumbass? One of the most hilarious videos I've ever seen. I will say this dude can strum on a guieeetar.
