To be fair, aren’t the final polls really just ranking how teams are playing at that time, and not really a cumulative ranking for the season? If that’s the case, then yeah, losing later in the season would hurt you, just like you’re bound to drop in a poll right after a loss. At the end of the year, I think that poll is probably accurately assessing how teams were playing coming out of the bowl games. As for uga, I don’t think any fan can say that they were pleased with their bowl game performance. If you judge just off of how teams played right then we definitely had a much more impressive showing and hence the final polls. I get that they were the better team for most of the year, but that’s not what those polls are showing, I believe. Also, they should be better next year. After that, buckle up. It’s going to be a melee
