Specifically, why did a US Senator use the confirmation hearing of a SC judge to clarify that anyone who is deemed an Enemy Combatant has no protection under the US Constitution? And that they would be tried by the US Military?

All Federal Crimes are referred to as Crimes Against America. Hence the charge United States Vs. Donald Trump (for example)!

Dude: I just googled Roy Epps What do you think is up with Roy Epps?? It looks like the Feds are deciding if they are going to prosecute him in the Trump Riot. They are doing due diligence to see if they actually have a winnable case.

As for Merrett Garland not answering the Congressman or Senator, Garland is absolutely right to not answer. The Department of Justice does not comment on ongoing cases. 1. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Treason is a crime only used in war time.

2.. I think we are seeing everything play out in real time with the January 6th investigation. Small fish up to big fish.

3.. When all is said and done, I think the Justice Department could have a winnable case against Trump. Trump actually has done a good spin in re-interpreting some of the events that led to the Trump insurrection. I think more needs to be uncovered to have that Really Solid Case for the Justice Department.

I think 10 to 12 high ranking Republicans are in much more legal jeopardy, based on the recordings on Mark Meadows phone. If the Justice Department can link those Republicans, who appear to have planned the coup, were working with Trump on the insurrection/ coup, then it would be a slam dunk case.

Mark Meadows has the most legal jeopardy in my opinion, even if the Justice Department does NOT charge him for Contempt. The Justice Depapartment has his plan for the coup. There is no spinning that.

We know a group of Republicans (and Mark Meadows himself) planned the coup based on texts and conversations from Mark Meadows phone, but that is not the same as having good, solid evidence that they attempted to carry the coup out.

I will say, the committee on the January 6th Insurrection has gotten an incredible amount of information very quickly ( i don't think anyone really thought that would happen), thanks to Mark Meadows phone. But that does not mean for sure it will produce any charges. However, the American people do have a better understanding right now, of which Republicans were involved, and what they sought to do.

You're confused; That link wasn't for you, you're just a silly troll. I learned a long time ago that internet trolls have no interest in the truth. Either they know what it is and lie about it in order to draw attention to themselves, or they don't know what it is, and have no interest in losing their ignorance.

No, that link was for the critical thinkers here who like to educate themselves about the truth, instead of hiding from it. Plus, it will add context to future events, and help explain how they were able to happen.

I know a few people like KJ and Fever have expressed frustration at the amount of time the Durham investigation has taken. As the brilliant Kash Patel said in a recent interview, in his experience as a prosecutor, it typically takes 3-5 years to successfully prosecute a criminal conspiracy case. And he said the one Durham is investigating is much more complex than most.

Durham is now 3 years in, so he's in the window of which we could begin to see movement, and that's exactly what has happened with the 2 most recent indictments of individuals with strong ties to the Clinton campaign.
