Don't feel so bad Jawja....

They also claim a game when we fielded a club team due to....wait for it...Our entire team wen off to fight in WW2 while their's stay behind for important stuff like football. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what UGa is.

1942. The year they beat us 75-0 and won the national title.

Do they care they were the only actual college football team that year? Not a bit. When you suck as bad as they do, you claim any little bit of glory you can, even when it's not glory and it's actually just pathetic.

They sure were great during those leather helmet days, though! UGA fans talking smack about leading the series against UF is like a Texas Longhorns fan talking smack about leading the series against OU. It’s cute, but at the end of the day, we have more titles so we really don’t care. North Carolina and Georgia Tech also lead the series against UF from back in those days, congratulations. Nobody cares that you beat up on Florida back before the state had a population surge.

I think he can hang on 8 more years to where we tie 51-51-2.

Note: You can't count a win from 2 years before a program starts. Did you know that we won the national title in our centennial season? That's right, we had played 100 years of football in 2006. Only an absolute idiot would try to claim a game from 1904 from a school that started balling in 1906. But, hey, I guess you qualify, so carry on.

Sure we can and we do DO, you will never catch us in the series either but carry on.

We are your Daddy, get use to losing to us every year NOW. Speaking of titles, If we count national titles like Bama does (why not) we have five and of course we have 13 SEC titles to your little 8 number. So congratulations for your program not being even relevant until Spurrier showed up in the 80's.

Meh. Spurrier came along the year after Dooley retired and got Ray Goof to start, then Jim Donnan who couldn’t beat any of the main rivals. Richt quit coaching around 2010 or so, and just collected paychecks. Richt was famous for shitting the bed, and you’ll probably say Kirby does too. It wait until Kirby is 6-7 years in and let’s see if he is doing the crap Richt started doing.

I always thought donnan seemed like a decent coach caught in tough circumstances. And Spurrier did come along at the right time, although I think his offense was so different from what the sec was used to that he was going to get a few seasons before anyone figured out how to stop it. Strangely enough, I know what you mean about richt. Meyer stopped coaching that same year as well. It’s interesting to look at a guy like that through that lens. When he’s committed he’s damn near unbeatable, but when he phones it in, like he did in 2010, he wasn’t much better than muschamp or mcelwain.

And the reason I say Spurrier affected you guys so much was bc clearly he hated uga and took extra pleasure in beating you. When you have a guy like Donnan trying to right the ship and one of your biggest rivals is taking every opportunity to rub your nose in losses, that puts more heat on the seat than normal. I think richt felt it too, hence the end zone thing in 07. But yeah, we’ve been through it now, although I’m not sure if you guys have ever hired a coach as bad as mcelwain. I get why you hire muschamp atcthe time. He was one of the hottest assistants in the country and it seemed like a solid hire. Mcelwain seemed more like a “cost effective” hire.

I’ve said this before, to you I believe, that I think Kirby has benefited from us and Tennessee being so bad. Obvs he’s a very good recruiter, but when several of your biggest competitors for recruits suck like we have for a decade, it makes the decision to go there much more clear cut. I think he’ll come back to orbit a bit. I mean, he almost has to after the past couple years. And it does seem like he may not be the best coach in terms of in game adjustments. The last couple Alabama games have shown that. Clearly you guys had a great game plan coming in. When saban adjusted and changed up what they were doing, Kirby didn’t have the counter punch. Granted it is Alabama and even getting a lead on them is an achievement, but esp in this years game you could see you guys getting more desperate and losing momentum play by play. The fake punt call everyone is so familiar with was the most obvious example, but as teams are able to match uga on a talent level, I wonder if that will become more of an issue

Excellent post!

My goodness look at that play. Kirby with hands on his hips just watching that abortion. Then after the game convinces his faithful that Fields screwed the play up by not snapping it on time. Against their base defense. Weird how the play wasn’t snapped in time but Kirby is just standing there allowing a 4th and 11 fake punt continue on without calling a timeout to make Alabama go the length of the field at least. But yeh, he’s the next Saban. Anyone have that fake FG against LSU queued up?
I just don't understand your hate for Kirby when UGA does not even play your rock bottom school. In fact, your dislike for Kirby and UGA is quite psychotic. Never the less, flame away all you want.........BUT using the term abortion on a fun sports message board is sick. My suggestion would be to seek help for your condition.

Agreed on most of your post but I think Kirby's recruiting will stay elite (admittedly this is my hope as well). He just turned 43 and, hopefully, he will continue to grow as a coach. I don't see why he wouldn't given his background (his Dad was a coach and spending all those years with Saban). Time will tell but 2019 and 2020 may be critical because of expectations with the talent he's brought in.

Well having lived among you retarded hicks it’s easy actually. I couldn’t care less what you want to label it. Abortion has two meanings, it doesn’t always mean baby killing. Maybe seek an education.

I’ll help you out Nathan Forest. Abortion: “an object or undertaking regarded by the speaker as unpleasant or badly made or carried out”

Probably wasn’t on your GED exam so it’s an understandable mistake.

As soon as we stop sucking at football you’ll hate me. Right now it looks like that’ll be a while.

No I won’t because you’re not a douche. I love me some Alaskan and did even while y’all whipped our ass every year.

I like to think I’m fair minded. If we suck we suck. And there’s no reason to sugar coat and put extra doses of optimism to this stuff. We’re fans, our opinions don’t change a thing but too many people get so caught up in winning an argument they become intellectually dishonest.

That “rock bottom school” has 3 titles since UGA’s last title. And I hate that you make me defend FSU.

The fact that in Georgia it's spelled Aborshun is also a factor.

That whole thing about moral victories, which you don’t seem to understand. There’s plenty of them here for you to study.

Sure man.

I'll go look up moral victories that relate to correctly telling time.

What in the world is your problem?

How long have you been on the Internet?

And while we're talking about Spurrier, I'd like to bring up the fact he dropped half a hundred on y'all Between the Hedges just because no one had ever done it before.

:)
True, but the last time SOS coached between the hedges we hung over half a hundred on him... and he quit football a few weeks later. I love that his last game against the Dawgs was a humiliating beatdown and a NCAA record setting passing performance by the Dawgs to boot.

But shouldn't you be on a lamecocks board to spew that kind of crap.

Winners by decade:
1950's UF
1960's UF
1970's UGly
1980's UGly
1990's UF
2000's UF
2010's UF 4 - 5 UGly
So even IF the mutts win in 2019, it will still be UF 4 of the last 7 decades.

The mutts had two good decades with ole Vince da sandbagger, while UF suffered through chumps like Dig Ducky....

When Spurrier arrived as the HBC in 1990, UF hadn't had a losing season in 10 years...

What are you, like 10 years old? LOLOLOL

My first game at UF was when SOS was the QB, not the ole HBC. o_O

What are you?
Ans: A buttsniffin' leghumpin' nuttlicker troll on a Gator board, from Jawja. :p

If not for Vince, you wouldn't even have those 2 decades since 1950 over UF...

That's like saying UF beat Dooley(coaching at Bethune Cookman for example) by hanging over half of a 100 on him. He was 5-6, I believe, vs Georgia as the Cocks coach. Just a reminder, he was 11-1 while at UF, vs Georgia. 11-1. He sure wasn't a fan of your beloved alumnus, Ray Goof.
Dooley was smart by leaving Georgia(as coach) in 89 because he wouldn't have sniffed a win against Spurrier if Dooley remained as a coach.

Contrary to UF UF fans think, college football didn't start in 1990, or end in 2020. Outside of that little timeframe UF is as revelent as Florida Atlantic. Will be fighting for the runner up spot in the East.

Seeing you haven’t won a national title in close to 40 years when did Football start for UGA? About 4-5 other SEC programs have won a national title more recently than UGA. Where does that put UGA as far as relevance goes? Not too impressive is it?

No idea where it puts us other than taking back the series in Jax that we have owned except for a brief time. If Danny boy watches his P's and Q's this year Kirby might let him score, otherwise he is calling timeout hoping to kick a FG to avoid getting shut out.

So exactly my point. UGA beat UF a bunch of times when neither you or I were alive. Congrats on your ancient history and your 1 national title that you probably don’t remember or were alive for.

Once Mullen gets his players I expect UF will go back to dominating the series. The UGA 1980s offense that Smart likes to run won’t be effective and Not to mention you have a terrible OC and in addition to that Smart can’t defend dual threat QBs
