The college football landscape is in a state of upheaval and it appears to me that FSU is in a very vulnerable position. Think about this:
- FSU has not had a winning season since 2017.
- They play in the ACC, which will soon be a distant third place behind the SEC and Big 10 in revenue.
- Alabama has been dominant in the Panhandle.
- UGA has locked down the state of Georgia.
- Miami is on the brink of bringing Cristobal home, which will make South Florida even harder to recruit.
- Their biggest rival, Florida, has more resources and more exposure than they do.
- NIL has meant dropping bags isn't as effective as it once was.
So I'm not saying FSU will become irrelevant, or they can't find elite success again, but damn does it look like they have more uphill battles than ever before. You hate to see it.
