Up 35-7 and playing a quarterback still recovering from a high ankle sprain and still throwing the ball..........
Many questioned whether he should even be playing today thinking he still needed more time to recover from his high ankle sprain. He was certainly not 100% against LSU.
So let’s have at it, it is the discussion that’s going to be going on for the rest of the week. What do y’all think? Did Saban and Alabama jeopardize this young man’s future for the sake of “style points” to impress the CFP Committee in hopes of sliding back into the number 4 slot?
Sure Tua Wanted to play, but the coach is supposed to protect the player especially in the amateur ranks. Remember he’s not getting paid to play football at Alabama.
This may be the greatest argument ever for why we need an eight team playoff instead of four. Just to stir the discussion.
This is not aimed directly in Alabama, because I’m sure most any college football program would be tempted to do the same. Then again Saban and Alabama did it so they are the ones with the bull’s-eye on their back.
