University of Miami football coach Manny Diaz said twice this week that he expected all his players to travel to Orlando for the Camping World Kickoff.
Would rather have the indefinite approach Mullen used, "...any suspensions will be announced Saturday prior to kickoff"; than the Diaz's lie.
Makes no difference now, after the Gators' 24-20 win, but Canes CB DJ Ivey , a 6-1, 195-pound sophomore who was listed as a co-starter in UM’s depth chart released this past week, was suspended for UF game. He will be back next game against North Carolina.
“DJ Ivey will not play tonight — he did not travel,’’ a UM spokesperson said in a text message to the Miami Herald. “Violation of team rules.’’
