4-star athlete from last year's class didn't make it because of grades - just posted he's now passed the ACT - anyone have info if he's G-ville bound with this class?

He said that he was still committed to UF and that he would be back.
That still sound like it's his goal (on twitter), so I expect him to return.

Questions - Does he still have a UF offer (from Mc)? -- Can he enroll at UF in Jan?
I like the kid, so I hope he makes it back to be the Gator.

All services I can find have him as a legit 4-star from the 2015 field - which is as good or better than some of the guys we're still trying to land. I'd be interested in grabbing him - it looks like he did a legit thing, going the prep route and he's got talent. No reason he shouldn't be a gator if he still wants in.

He's not coming this year... Needs more time to get his academics in order.

So next year, an elite athlete, 20 years old, with 4 years of eligibility, who would be coming in to what should be a stacked roster. He's almost guaranteed to go after 3 years, but with that level of maturity should be ready to get on the field pretty much right away.

I remember we had a linebacker a few years ago who came in at 16 years old. He was a good kid, good player, but just when he was really getting his man body he went pro. So heck, let's take them at 20 instead. Sounds like a plan.

It doesn't look like it will happen for D'Anfernee McGriff and Florida. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't get his GED after leaving high school, he graduated high school. He went to prep school to improve his grades and until he got a test score. Florida had a plan for him to go the JuCo route and this route was not going to likely work. Maybe there is a shot that they try it, but it really sounds like it won't happen for McGriff at this point.

IF he's got his HS diploma, and he's now got his ACT score up to snuff, then what would stop him from enrolling in Jan at UF? I'm confused?

The dreaded math class.

Everyone keeps counting this guy out, including myself, but according to his Twitter he got the ACT score he needed. I have no idea what his plans are, but several people are congratulating him and wishing him well at UF. This is probably one of those questions for the recruiting insiders.

I hope we get him. The guy's a player who could be good at several positions, Just get him and figure out where he belongs later.

#21 RB/Ath D'Anfernee McGriff 6-1 230 4.34/40 **** (247) - 2015 Gator signee.
UA-AA - And he won the Charlie Ward Offensive PoY Award (RB) after his Jr season.
Flipped from AU on NSD to UF.

To bad that Zach's replacement at the Sun recruiting blog is still taking his Christmas nap,,, otherwise we might have an update on him... o_O

Multiple reports that he won't be in this class for all the reasons already provided. I'm a big fan and he could be a great O weapon. Maybe next year.

He won't be here for an early enroll in Jan, but couldn't he still make it in this class by Aug? He went to prep school, not to a JuCo, right?
