Less than 0.2% of fully vaccinated Tennesseans are testing positive for COVID-19. Piercey said the statewide rate of breakthrough cases is 0.18% and out of 2.7 million fully vaccinated Tennesseans, only 1,600 breakthrough cases have been recorded.
"Breakthrough infections are rare, and when they do happen they are generally not serious and rather mild," she said.
Of the fully vaccinated Tennesseans that are hospitalized for COVID-19, Piercey said 80% of these patients are over 65 years old.

There have been over 100,000 invading army criminal illegal aliens spread across the southern states by Beijing Biden and his Border Ho that are both untested and un-vaccinated. While over 1.5 million of them have poured in across the Southern border since the Jo-Ho's fraudulently took office. The criminal aliens are costing taxpayers over 1 billion dollars per day, with no end in sight.
There were two Federally bus loads of criminal illegal aliens dumped off in N.E. FL last week (Clay Co). They were given $100 each and just left on the street in front of the Court House. The Sheriff's office had to take 9 of them straight to the hospital because they were so sick.
This entire Fiasco is breaking multiple laws and those responsible should be in jail, but the NO Justice DoJ will never take any responsible action for this socialist traitor's lawlessness.
Thank you for your empathy. Doc I hope you and others will continue to give us the facts and data as you know them some of us are listening. The covid infection is raging in the north Jax area. People continue to divide this into blue/purple vs. red states when we all should be in this fight together. My fight with this Covid thing has humbled me. I intend to remain humble if/when I beat this thing. I will be a better person that way. May God bless all.
There are a lot of delays that are usual for people who contact this disease from the time of intial exposure to actual beginning of treatment. This can seem quite normal don't you think. For my case It was probably 12 days after exposure that I finally received confirmation that I was covid positive. I had a virtual visit with my primary care doc about 10 days after what I believe was my initial exposure to the Virus. At that time even tho my test results were not back, he proscribed for me Azithromycin. I was allready taking Vitamin D and Zinc supplements. I believe that many of doctors understand that there are reports of good success with HCQ. Anyway this Covid is not only raging but it is changing.I trust that most of our medical folks are pretty smart and have our good health at heart.
And that's just fine with me, we are all free to trust whatever we want to.
I don't trust much, having 70+ years of personal experience to go on, but that's me.
IMO - Virtually all doctors care the most about their own high incomes, everything else is secondary.
They are controlled by the AMA and are afraid of getting their money generating licence revoked, so they mostly toe-the-line if what they are doing will get them screwed.
Some few doctors are good guys as are some fewer lawyers, but they are both in the minority, not the majority.
The majority of doc-tors practice medicine for money, they don't cure patience for free, so don't give me that 'we/they care' BS....
Also, if they were really good at their jobs, then MALPRACTICE INSURANCE would be either cheap or non-existent....

I am not a Dem. I’m a Libertarian and a Constitutional Conservative. I don’t think Government should mandate vaccines just to walk around for every day life. However, they do have a Constitutional right to mandate it to fly from state to state based on the Interstate Commerce Clause.

I get where you are coming from on abortion but I disagree on the SoCons definition of life. I’m an atheist and don’t believe in the soul. I define life within the context of abortion as when a fetus can survive outside the womb. As soon as someone can prove God exists and we have souls I’ll be anti-abortion. Faith which I don’t have is not proof.
But since you are so concerned about 2 lives in play I have a question for you. Are you worried about adults who choose to be unvaccinated spreading Covid to kids who can’t be vaccinated? Do you care more about a fetus than a 6 year old?
People have the right to make choices for themselves by not getting vaccinations and others have the right to think those choices make them dicks and the c word.
By the way, you’ll notice I didn’t ask if you are vaccinated and I won’t ask you or anyone else because it’s none of my business. My wife and I and kids ( old enough) are vaccinated. However, if my kids were too young to get it I wouldn’t want them anywhere near unvaccinated adults with this Delta variant going around.
