CPAC straw poll winner is….

"Trump, who’s repeatedly flirted with making another presidential run in 2024 to try and return to the White House, captured 70% of ballots cast in the anonymous straw poll, according to results announced by CPAC on Sunday afternoon.

That's a boost from the 55% support he won in the hypothetical 2024 Republican primary matchup straw poll at CPAC Orlando in late February."

That's a 30% increase in support for Trump in the last 5 months. @goldmom thinks Trump's support is fading.

Good for him. Do understand that I have no personal animus towards the man...I wouldn't expect him to do poorly at the CPAC event. It would have been very shocking had he failed to poll strongly among the demographic who attend such events.

What is interesting is he gained support from 5 months ago. And quite significantly

I don’t pay attention to any of these PAC events but are these numbers in correlation with where the event is hosted? If Trump got 55% in a Florida event that would make sense due to DeSantis’ popularity. Where was this CPAC that Trump received 70%? Before Republicans start fighting each other over Trump vs DeSantis it would seem smarter to see how they play out state by state.

And what was happening during the last 5 months?

We were beginning the audits of the questionable states, and results were starting to come out that verified that oh shit...Trump really was cheated out of the White House.

While the dems, media and RINOs were united in telling us that Hiden was the legitimate President and we needed to move on.

At the same time, support for Trump INCREASED by 30%.

The republican party belongs to Trump. Anyone that still doubts that after this poll simply can't deal with their TDS.

This CPAC was in Dallas. I do agree that location would somewhat play a role in voting, but I think the audience for CPAC is pretty much national.

An undeniable truth: Trump is not a plantation cracker.

Trump upped his vote total to 74 million in 2020 from 63 million in 2016, an incumbent record. Trump won comfortably on Election Day. Then came the Democrat controlled vote count after election day.
