it probably wasn't from 247's rankings, it was 247 showing the last 16 years of rankings.

247 Composite combines the ratings from all major services. So it is feasible they can calculate a composite ranking before 247 itself ranked players. I find the composite rankings to be relatively credible considering the inexact science this is
