But in addition to poor survey methodology, that tabulation is often misrepresented. Most papers (66 per cent) actually took no position. Of the remaining 34 per cent, 33 per cent supported at least a weak human contribution to global warming. So divide 33 by 34 and you get 97 per cent, but this is unremarkable since the 33 per cent includes many papers that critique key elements of the IPCC position.

Whenever you attempt to get a lefty to intelligently defend a stance that science doesn't support (such as claiming the shots are safe and effective, or that man-made climate change is a real thing), they will almost always default to this:
"I trust what the (perceived authority figures) tell me!"
IOW, they admit they cannot think for themselves, or that they refuse to think for themselves. They just blindly parrot whatever the perceived authority figures are saying.
Weirdest flex I have ever seen. "How do I explain defending this nonsense? Easy, I can't think for myself!"

Again, a perfect illustration of how dems like @Kingseve1 put politics above all in their lives. The average, critical thinker will believe the scientists...until the scientists are proven wrong.
@Kingseve1 continues to listen to the scientists, even when they are proven wrong, because the scientists are giving a POLITICAL message he supports. So in his mind, the scientists are RIGHT.
To normal, educated people, this looks like hypocrisy on his part. But to @Kingseve1, there's complete consistency.

Come now, you can't talk about Al Gore, he buys carbon offsets so he can use as much coal produced energy and gas/oil as he wants.
Al using the footage of a polar bear swimming beyond the reaches of ice was so overblown and nothing new. This is how natural selection works. If this did not occur we would be staring at massive Polar Bear populations that would be destroying populations of seals and other mammal species to extinction, but it is okay for Inuits to decimate populations of Whales and Seals even though they do not have to be hunters/gatherers anymore.
