Clemson vs LSU

My money is on the Tigers.

I'm kidding, I don't bet money on sports.

Pulling for Clemson - can't stand the Fighting Corn Dogs
The only reason I would pull for the corn dogs is the fact that I am friggin sick and tired of seeing the championship go to Alabama, Clempson, FSU, or Ohio State. Only 4 teams have won it so far and I'll root for a 5th to get their win. The CFP has been the worst thing to happen to this sport in my lifetime and it only reinforces the same 4 or 5 top teams in the country getting the best recruiting talent because they were in it last year.

Lsu going backwards....yikes
The last time I went to that place was in 07 during Mardi Gras. I had just arrived on the scene. Cut through the crowd, it was drizzling, finally got to an open spot under a balcony. Some young guy with two college aged chicks on his side came up to me. Started off with small conservation then it turned into the infamous question. "Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" He got into his missionary talk. As he was talking a young long legged girl with short shorts and a white tank top came up right behind him. Did the usual NOLA dance for the guys hooting and hollering on the balcony above. She lifted the tank top and had the best crafted silicone knockers Ive seen even to this day. She was shaking them as the beads from above rained down. Meanwhile the guy was still testifying. I had to cut him off midway through and said something along the lines of "Everything you are saying is great and all, I'm Catholic so I'll confess in a few days, however I can't concentrate on anything else you say" I pointed behind him and he turned around and blurted out "Lord Have Mercy". It was too funny I shook dudes hand and sent him on his way. It was just not the right moment to hear the religious spill.

Bourbon Street is something you have to do once, even of you are a tee totaller.

Lsu is struggling with clemsons defense right now. Does the SEC have bad pass defenses? In general?

It looks to me like the refs are letting the defensive secondaries have a LOT of latitude as far as defending passes. These guys are draped over receivers on both sides on every single play.

Gotta admit, that was a gorgeous TD pass for LSU's first of the night. I thought with how the defender was jobbing him the whole length of the route that he had no chance at it. Give Burrow just a moment to drop back and throw, and he will torch you. Clempy has been going max pressure and now they are going to have to rethink that.

I noticed that. Lot of borderline PI's LSU was getting away with.

No offense but it's going both ways. Look more closely at some of the drops LSU has and their receivers are in the middle of being tackled down to the ground when the ball is just getting to them. I think the difference is Clempy is getting some guys wide open when lawrence needs a dump off guy.

Whats that you say? Chase said hello.

Other than that one play tho. I wasnt trying to talk shit... I honestly feel like the sec gets "bigger" guys to stop the run. Always been that way it seems but it also seems good passers light up the SEC since they are so big in the front 7.

Any particular example game you are talking about or just in general?

Honestly I'm not an SEC homer. Despise most of the team's and everything related to them. However I do think they have the best overall talent. Sure Wake can handle Vandy but I'm not referring to that.

Just in general somethi g ive seen over the past 20 yrs. It seemed the sec didnt have many great passers but when they got them they ran wild (Tebow, Manziel, Tua, Burrows) and they looked damn near unstoppable in tye regular season. Im not sure why. My hypothesis was that the SEC recruits really big front 7s. Bama built their dynasty of being so big up front that no 1 could run on them and didnt have the QB to pass on them. Then Ole Miss beat them twice, Manziel did as well. However, its not like the SEC is not recruiting great individual players in the secondary. I just think the schemes are more for stopping the run (similar to big 10). No doubt the sec has had the best talent.

My one and only trip to Bourbon St was freshman year at UF during Mardi Gras. 5 of us 18 year olds drove in a 90's model Trans AM (3 in the tight ass back seat) from G'ville to Tally for pitstop, then to N.O. nonstop. Got smashed buying drinks even without fake ID, saw lots of tits and pussy up close on the streets, saw the parade, out all night, then drove all the way back without sleeping the next day. Trip included a drunken climb onto rooftop of a I-10 Waffle House, jumping and screaming like a wack job before clambering down, running to car and peeling out of the parking lot. Trip also included a speeding pull over on I-10 by Florida Highway Patrol at which we found out our driver had a suspended license....trooper was cool and just said to have someone else drive, we probably reminded him of his youthful days....wtf, if that was tight ass Jersey, they would have impounded the car on the spot, lol.

Regrettably, haven't been to Nawlins any other time before or since. Need to now more for the food and culture than the debauchery since I'm a family man now, haha.

This. The players, fans, and celebrities have all been acting like they've won already during the buildup since the semifinals. Perhaps too cocky after playing no D OU and it bites them in the ass against an elite D!
gatorbuildier is my brother but I'm pulling for the Corn Dog crew (screw you old man! lol)...I really don't care that much though. Just want to see a good game and so far it's an exciting one.

Lsu looking comfy..... Burrow running the ball has finally opened the flood gates

I wish Chase's Gators commitment stuck. Him, Grimes, Copeland, Toney, Pitts next season would have been filthy receiving corps.

Well I'm not saying who is going to win this game, but unlike some team that should never be mentioned, neither tigers team is resorting to field goals on every trip down the field. You don't win championships by kicking tons of field goals.

Got to score TD's ...LSU is showing up now. Started slow, settled down, not putting the defense on Clemson...offense is getting on fire.

Hate all these records being broken with these 15 game seasons nowadays.

Barry Sanders says, "try and touch my 2,628 rush yards, 3,250 all purpose yards 11 game season!" Ain't nobody touching that in 15 games even.
