ESPN writer Bill Connelly put out a story Tuesday on his top 25 college football teams that failed to win the national championship. Not included were the 1995 Gators, who went 12-0 and won’t their third straight SEC title before losing to Nebraska.

Former Florida WR and SEC Network analyst Chris Doering took exception to Connelly’s article on Twitter. Connelly responded with his reasoning being UF’s defense and the 62-24 loss.

Thoughts? He also didn’t include the 01 or 09 Gators in his top 25.
