IMO if Texas is smart they give him next year. I believe 3 is the number of years you must give someone. He has cleaned up a lot, see what he can put together in the '16 class and next year on the field.

He can rebound quickly at Texas...string together a few wins and he'll make it to next season easy.

I've said it more than once and it goes right in line with what even Steve Spurrier has said. You can stay at a place too long and things start to go bad. Stoops is a good coach. His record speaks for itself, but he should have gotten out of Norman a few years ago when he had the chance.

He'll make it to next season because of his buyout more than anything else right now. He will get at least 3 years. Next year is his make or break year. I'm not sure next year will be that much better for him. He needs a QB BADLY!

Way over his head at Texas. Amazing how the flagship university of the most football-rich state in the country loses that bad.

Just my opinion but I think your out of your mind .. Strong is a good coach and came into a horrid situation
1. AD did not back him and started cutting the football budget .. I mean crazy stuff .. I know he got fired but the budget will not get restored until after the season
2. he had very little talent
3. the attitude and work ethic was so bad he had did kicks some HUGE number of kids off the team and yes they were his most talented players left.
4 Texas tech, AM, Baylor, TCU and others are now recruiting well in Texas so they do not just get every texas kids like the old days
5. the alums are not looking for a turn around but expect 1-2 loss season almost immediately.
