Captain Sobel coming for your money

You are right, it was an experiment that has gone right until the last 30 years where corruption has infiltrated the federal government. The US also has a bloody past and nothing can change that but it’s about progress and a huge amount of progress has been made on all fronts. Is it perfect? Hell no! It will need to be changed from time to time but the ideas that are being presented today will unravel a lot of the progress that has been made.

Back to my point. I, along with people on this board and millions of Americans have a huge problem with someone determining how much taxes another should pay because they think it’s not fair. Who am I or anyone to say how much someone should be taxed? That’s like me telling you how you should live your life or what to think. That’s un American. In my opinion, you want to fix the tax code then get rid of the right offs, drop the tax rate for everyone to 15-20% for all classes. Not saying you are this person but if someone wants to demonize the rich, they need to get off their asses and start working to prosper. Nothing was going to be handed to you or I on a silver platter, we had to work to earn ours.

Well bud, I hate to tell you this but you live in Pennsylvania, home of corruption. I wouldn’t trust my family living in that state 😂😂😂
I'm not saying penalized the rich. It's more about them paying the money they always find a way not to pay. Our tax system is designed to help rich people and companies find a way to not pay taxes. We definitely need to balance that out.

Pennsylvania isn't corrupted, Philadelphia is haha.

Let me give you some help. Paying 80 percent of 0 is the same as paying 20 percent of O. As long as loopholes exist these tax games of tax the rich don’t mean much. You want a true fair tax system? Flat rate sales tax on errbody. Rich folks spend more.

Of course that will never happen because the politicians are the rich people that would benefit from those loopholes.

If you remove the loopholes, you also remove the kickbacks politicians would get from PASSING them.

Same reason why politicians will never pass term limits on themselves.

If I understand you correctly, your gripe isn’t about what percentage the rich person pays, it’s the loopholes that allow them to keep more of their money compared to the middle class and poor? If that’s the case, drop the tax rate to 15% income tax and get rid of the write offs.

Then we can get rid of the IRS completely as there isn’t a need since everyone pays the same amount. However, they won’t because the IRS is another mechanism used to keep people shackled to class slavery as well as another way to spy on American citizens.

Also, if you really want to learn about corruption then take a good hard look at 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) companies.

I’ll point you in the direction of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and George Soros. Find out exactly how much taxes their philanthropy cost, might shock you.

Yeah that's my issue...the loopholes.

Why was the IRS invented again? I never understood the reason to file taxes. The government should know what I paid and what I make based on my W2. The people who don't use W2 form, should be ones that file taxes.

I don’t know the reasons for the IRS to be honest. What I see is another department, funded by our tax dollars that are wasted. I think we’d both be surprised that our government wastes a lot of money.

You see, this post...what you said in it, that's the problem. You act as though the rich do not already pay their share. They do. They pay their share and probably your share.

From FY18, the top 1% of wage earners in this country paid 40.08% of the tax burden.

From that same year, the top 50% wage earners paid 97.06% of the tax burden. That left 2.94% of the tax burden for the bottom 50% of wage earners.

So GMAB on this BS. The rich aren't getting some sweetheart deal like you believe. They are in fact paying your taxes.

Thank you. People are completely ignorant on this issue. The Bernies and Squads just repeat the tired “the rich aren’t paying enough” line and people just eat it up.

Raising taxes is another ploy to keep the classes attacking each other while the shady shit continues behind the scenes.

Flat tax, abolish the IRS, get rid of 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) and you’ll see more people climb out of poverty than ever before.

Of course, the elite will never go for that because a lot of money is made keeping people poor.

Tax the rich always works on emotional sheep who think it's someone else's fault that THEY don't have as much money as they would like.

The dems push attacking the rich because it's really about attacking business. Which is really about attacking PRIVATE SECTOR.

They want everyone to get their money from the government. Free markets and capitalism are a threat to them because it empowers individuals to get money and accumulate wealth WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT.

Again sheep....always understand that the dems' goal is to make you subservient to the government.

When you support tax the rich, you are literally supporting your own slavery.

LOL

Yep, the sheep always get hoodwinked by the class warfare nonsense cause the dems ARE the rich.

Sheep can't see it. They are totally brainwashed when it could to the dems. See above, @kalimgoodman bitched about the rich using loopholes, then when you show him that Hiden did that very thing, he ignores and deflects to Trump.

SMDH. Dems have no shame or morals.

Speaking of @kalimgoodman did you hear the whopper he told about Hiden and obama? He claims that Hiden was penniless while VP. And one of his sons had to go to the hospital and since Hiden was penniless (Which you just proved is a lie, he was apparently paying no taxes LOL), obama stepped up and paid his hospital bill for him.

What a great pair of Americans LOL!

To the dems, the dem politicians are pennliess and humble servants of the people.

And when a billionaire republican wins, he is running to make money. Even though he gave away all his salary and the dems used their office to make millions.

You cannot argue with people that are this lost.

America was founded on success or failure. There was never a social safety net. The constitution allowed for amendments, which is their way of saying it isn't a perfect document. You have a point about taxing the rich over and over, eventually it becomes unfair. What is that point?

I disagree about the skin color. America was meant for white men. Just follow the history. Woman and people of color couldn't vote. So they had zero true representation for a lot of American history. What is the only race and gender that was not discriminated against when America was founded? White men.

The Irish and other indentured servants would disagree with you.

In my eyes, without the federal government, my people would still be slaves or not allowed to vote.
Bullshit. Slavery was already on the outs in civilized countries in favor of machinery. The only place where slavery still exists is, whoa, look at that, Africa.

AND..........America's first slave traders with the exception of native Americans capturing and indenturing each other into slave labor.

So you're proving my point about this country being for white men? Not sure what you're disagreeing with.

On the "outs", still means it was there. Another confusing comment. I agree about slavery in Africa, nobody is debating TODAY. That's called gaslighting.

Irish, Polish, Russians, Jews etc aren't white people? Every wave of immigrants wasn't equal to the white people already here.

On the outs means exactly what it sounds like, it was being banned in countries all over Europe.

And yes, there is slavery going on in Africa right freakin now.

So America was founded for the white men present? Like I said. Seems like you're debating just to debate because you're agreeing with me. I will add that there wasn't a constitution amendment to give Jewish, Irish, polish, Russians simple rights. It kind of came naturally for them.

On the outs but it took till 1965 for blacks to be treated like America's, especially in the south. States in the south fought that law until like 1985ish!

Oh I know and that's why laugh when idiot black celebrities talk about going back to Africa and living like Kings/Queens. No you would live like a slave.

Because he wants to be ruled by people that just say the things he likes and will hold him accountable. But he doesn’t care if his rulers abide by the rules they set for him.
He's a dumb kid. I mean, he claims black people 'have always known' Trump was a racist, then when a black man comes out and says Hiden *IS* a racist and that black people have always known it.....he attacks the black man.

Cause the black man attacked the white man he liked.

Then @kalimgoodman claims the country is racist for the white man, and always has been.

Do you laugh or cry at the sheer ignorance?

Weep for the future.

Example of you trying too hard. The nickname is corny or even better weak.

Lol. I know you and mcstuffins have become tight. It’s ok. Speaking of trying too hard, or as mcstuffins put it, trying to hard….you going to bump threads for the last two months as well?

I think it was funny the first time, but whenever somebody falls to in love with their own corny material or when they trying to hard or when they’re just not clever enough to come up with new material, then you get the same tired thread posted over and over again.

Part of the issue stems from the fact that he thinks he’s an expert in everything and that he thinks he’s smarter and more clever than he is, but he’s a nice guy so we can forgive him that.

The real sign of his limitations though, the fact that he feels the need to respond to everything, humorous and predictable, Reeks of insecurity

He falls in love with his material alot. Anything can be funny the 1st time, after awhile it's like this is corny, do better.

Yes, he definitely thinks he's an expert on everything. I've said to him and others repeatedly, sometimes it's ok to not know or differ to the people in that field. Yet, he feels like he has to know everything or he's stupid or something. Basically it's his intellectual insecurities.

Pretty funny how people analyzed him the same.

Exactly. I would venture to say that you and I probably disagree 70% of the time on issues but aside from some good natured jabbing back-and-forth it’s not personal and we can discuss things. Well at least it’s not personal to me :)

But I’m particularly fond of when he’s an expert in something that I am actually an expert in because it shows me how little he really knows, LOL

Hell no, we disagree on probably 70% of everything, if not more. But I view people I disagree with as still been human and worthy of respect even after heated disagreements. I even view you that way @jfegaly

Being able to view someone you disagree with as human is where problem-solving comes from And solutions come from-The anatomy of peace, used by Jared Kushner in the Middle East.
