Your mindset going into this year, personally?

Brantley: "Personally, try to get my motor up so I can play longer snaps more consistently. That's really what I'm working on. I work on getting stronger and faster every time I work out so it's nothing new."

With the departure of Bullard, what did you learn from him?

Brantley: "I mean he taught how to be a leader, a role model to the younger guys and always do stuff right. You don't want to be the guy that coaches look to, to lead the younger guys and you're messing stuff up. I'm just trying to lead by example. Do all the little stuff. Like having your shirt tucked in, just the little things."

Is it frustrating getting double teams?

Brantley: "It is frustrating, but at the same time I can't be selfish, you feel me? If you're good, you're going to get double-teamed nine times out of 10. It's a chance for other guys to step up. I'm not the only one on the D-line that's a hell-raiser. You've got CeCe Jefferson, Bryan Cox, Taven Bryan. I love our whole D-line. Pick your poison. We've got some guys that can get to the passer."

What have you been working on so far?

Brantley: "Speed and quickness. Like my speed off the ball, hand quickness and running to the ball. Conditioning. I mean, I feel like if I can stay on the field longer and get my wind up, I feel like I can help this team a lot."

Do you feel like you're going to be unblockable this year? Is that a goal of yours?

Brantley: "I mean, yeah. I feel like I'm the best d-lineman in the country. So I'm going out and trying to prove it."

You lose any weight since last season?

Brantley: "Like eight pounds. Like 298, 300 (now). They want me at 310. ... Just keep eating carbs. I've got to put weight on the right way.

"That's kind of what I played at last year, 310, 308. Once we started conditioning I started dropping a little weight because we ran so much. It's going to come back, it's just hot outside right now."
