All we need to make this Jimmy Carter 2.0 is to buy Biden a peanut farm in Georgia.

For those of us barely old enough to remember, and I was a pretty young kid back in 1977, but we’ve got gas lines down the street, complete chaos on the verge of war in the Middle East, we’re talking about tax rates in the 60 to 70% range, stagnant economy and dying industries.

And I don’t see a Republican governor coming out of the state of California to save us this time. Maybe will see one coming out of my home state of Florida

Nah, outside the top most don't pay much. Trump made that worse with populist tax cuts. We need to broaden the base out and drop the rates. Have an economy built in production and savings instead of sloth and consumption.

The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (38.5 percent) than the bottom 90 percentcombined (29.9 percent). The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid a 26.8 percent average individual income tax rate, which is more than six times higher than taxpayers in the bottom 50 percent (4.0 percent)
