@GhostOfMatchesMalone ...here below is why I am opposed to wealth distribution...I trust you can follow my words.
One thing the democrats say and do that has ruffled my feathers in the past is this: they remind us why and how we're always victims of the opposing party we might choose to vote for...and if you're like myself, who wants to be associated with groups who are always offended and victimized?...I for one, do not.
The democrats (to my knowledge) never speak out about or offer suggestions/ideas on how folks can elevate themselves...never how to "work it" (plan your work and work your plan---from the late Pat Summitt)...nor have they ever said (to my knowledge, "if you can pay for monthly internet & cell phones...you have the money to invest in the domestic stock market, CDs, and such...but no, they're always harping on victimization, how the wealthy are greedy pigs...but if that were true...why haven't the democrats told folks to stop paying for internet and cell phones, stay off Instagram, Facebook and save money by not supporting big-tech that the Left claims are the evil adversaries of our time?...I'm having trouble understanding what I find is such deep, pervasive hypocrisy...perhaps you have some ideas?
I don't understand why so many democratic politicos engage in such class warfare when they, the democratic politicos have gained so much associating with the ones who they claim are our enemies.
What the same politicos will never admit to us is that there will always be those who are poor (many through nothing of their own doing---the truly disabled) but many who are poor through poor decision-making, poor choices, and having no game plan or even thinking of a game plan to begin with.
There are too many ways of making a dollar, IMO...and IMO, (and I can look at myself, as well)...it's too easy to play the blame game...taking some sort of action can be work...and I'm mystified that while so many work hard at their jobs not to work just as hard to find how to make an extra dollar or two...maybe even three.
Your're a smart man,
@GhostOfMatchesMalone ...and you understand that many folks don't have more simply because they really don't feel they deserve more...but funny (or sad depending upon how you look at it) many of these same folks feel so entitled to anything and everything they believe they don't have to pay for...again, this is my opinion...and I'll read/listen to any of your arguments where I'm wrong on this matter.
Wealthy folks...whether you admire or hate them always have similar attributes, IMO...they are organized, they "plan their work and work their plan,"...AND...they know they deserve the best that life has to offer...at least this is what I have parsed watching and listening to those who have done well...but who alive truly can not do better with increased effort, save the truly disabled?
IMO,
@GhostOfMatchesMalone ...it matters not how high tax rates are raised for the wealthy or the middle class...and this is the reason I say this: if the folks (politicians) who create/make decisions for we, the people cannot live within the means of the tax payers now...I doubt they will do better with the peoples' money even with "supposedly" more taxes flowing into the national coffers.
I'm a firm believer that people not only live according to their priorities...but you can listen, hear, and watch in silence and tell much about how someone feels about themselves...and you can tell much about his/her feelings of self-worth, self-esteem.
While there are many who of "of means" there might be many reasons I find some of their actions to be needless, cruel, or downright dangerous...I do find affinity (albeit a small amount) that you'll almost never find a person of means that has doubts that he/she deserves the finer things in life...so, I am careful to look in my bathroom mirror and tell myself, "Agent, you are deserving the best in life."...and I mean it.
I watch the ones who always float "the class envy mantra"...and I have to wonder just how they actually feel about themselves.
And for those who keep talking about "jobs, jobs, jobs"...minimum wage, the wealthy are always your enemy, BLM, safe-space ideology, 235 different genders...how about telling those folks to stop being so envious, so angry, and so victimized...perhaps some of these same folks oughta admit Andrew Yang does have a point: as automation increases...and folks lose their income(s)...then we will really see a chit circus around here...have you noticed not one democrat (save Andrew Yang) or any republican office holder really talks about this?...and have you noticed nobody (that I know of) has introduced legislation to outright ban automation destroying jobs they claim they say they are all for?
I do find one area (and a slight one) with your words about Bernie Sanders...the media does not fawn over him that I can see...they love Pocahantas Warren...they see Bernie as too much of a threat to "business as usual."...Warren, they know she'll tow the line and not much will really change to threaten their power.
I appreciate your post from above and it gave me points to consider which lead to this point.
Many thanks,
Agent Orange
