It’s on the other side of the world and hard to see on TV, but making sure everyone is aware that Ben Shelton made the semi-finals of the Australian Open and will play Sinner, the number one player in the world, tomorrow morning (for us). Gonna be a tall task to beat him but he’s already put everyone on notice that last year wasn’t a fluke. He’s here to stay.
And to top it off, there’s some drama with a local Australian news channel and a lot of back and forth with Djokavic and the broadcaster. Shelton took it upon himself to speak out on the players’ behalf, and did so with class. Seems like a great kid and obviously it’s because he’s a Gator 😉. Hope he can pull it off tomorrow!
