Basketball against St Josephs

We played SJU today and beat them 74-63, after it being a tight game until about 3 minutes left in the game. It looks like we shot FTs well @ 70%, especially down the stretch. We dominated the boards.

Now we play ranked Purdue tomorrow (I think)

Out scored them 12-1 to close it out. Toughed it out with lots of guys in foul trouble all game long.

It was St. Joseph's, not St. Johns. The team got in big time foul trouble in the 1st half and the deep bench and overall team play kept us in it. And then the defense tightened up down the stretch and they made some clutch plays, especially Finney-Smith. Great win, but tomorrow's game against Purdue will be a real challenge. I like the way these guys are playing under the new coach.

Is our new big man getting into foul trouble a lot? He looks like he should be imposing on defense in the middle.

He seems to be, but I think a lot of it is the players adjusting to how tight the games are being called this year.

Dropped our first one of the season as Purdue got the best of the Good Guys 85-70.

Yea, we got exposed on the boards and Purdue was on fire from 3 point range.

I wonder when White is going to realize that Hill is a liability at point and start Chiozza?

This is a talented Gator team but it has not gelled from a chemistry standpoint.
