They will stop at nothing to keep power which is despicable.
If you let yourself see things objectively you would see that this statement is true of both sides. Especially in todays political climate.

The real problem with what has transpired is that there is virtually no chance both sides will see the next result as fair regardless of the outcome. Once you go down the "they cheated" path its hard to ever recover.

I suspect the republicans will win big in the mid-terms.....and with the poor job Biden has done its probably a just result. But it will ensure the voting rule changes particularly in Georgia and Texas will hold unless by some miracle the democrats are able to pass their voting law goals before midterms (which then might get overturned anyway after the mid terms).

So if the republicans take the presidency in 2024 in a close election (it being close is almost a certainty) the democrats will protest even louder than the republicans have over 2020...…....especially if they can show that the number of African American voters is down in those two states because of the rule changes.

It may feel like "strengthening voter integrity" to republicans, but there is no way in hell it will be seen as anything other than voter suppression by the democrats. And if its Trump who wins in 2024 the riots we saw in the past few years are going to look like Sunday picnics.

So in the end......further division, further strife, further chaos and a very scary time for our country.

Maybe if those 'suppressed' voters put as much energy into voting as they do rioting, there wouldn't be a problem.

Soros is organizing those riots, and he is evil to the core. Furthermore, I can't align myself with pro-abortionists and if I did I would be turning my back on Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.

I am not making the argument that they are right or wrong. I am just making the statement that this is absolutely the way they will perceive it.

And you do need to consider that there is a history of suppression......it wasn't until the 1960's that African Americans even had the right to vote in all states. So its not some far fetched notion. Its important to try and put yourself in the other mans shoes.

Again, I am not arguing they are right and you are wrong. But lets not pretend its only democrats who fight to keep power at the expense of the American people.

Don't know any slaves or people denied the right to vote myself. A must watch.

You are a devil's advocate and just as evil, Sir. I'm stating that you are definitely wrong no matter how you rationalize it. Yes, both parties have agendas to stay in power but both are not siding with Christian family values.

In the late 60's AA's were being hit with fire hoses at polling places. To compare then and today shows a staggering lack of perspective.

Even CNN isn't buying this BS. No one is denied access to cast their ballot. If Dems are "suppressed" in the next election cycle it will be because of poor turnout, not changes to voting laws.

Right, anyone without an ID is wanting to stay anonymous for reasons like warrants, illegal immigration, and other criminal reasons. Any person that refuses to be ID'd is hiding something. That revokes their voting privilege, IMO.

Does Donald Trump exhibit your Christian values? I mean, he did hold up a bible once.

Again, you display an alarming ability to completely miss the point.

Wow. Just wow.

That’s quite a leap there, Mr. I hate the constitution.

Not sure how slavery got into this..............but if you know any African Americans from the south that are in the 70's you do know people who where denied their right to vote.

Again.......all I am saying is how they are going to perceive this.........not saying they should or shouldn't......but it might be good for you guys to look at reality before the armed conflict begins to help understand why it did.

No, PDT is at least Christian friendly and isn't persecuting our faith as Obama and his minion do. He was willing to align with Christian Conservatives for pragmatic governing that didn't overreach its authority.

If and when it ever comes down to an armed conflict, it won't bode well for those unarmed. Thanks for just explaining why the 2nd Amendment is sacred. Thanks Kyle!

I will agree he certainly did align with Christian Conservatives as that was his avenue to power. But it is a terrible look that Christians backed a man like him. I guess the lessor of two evils.

But the last part is way off base. Trump pushed the limits of presidential authority farther than anybody we have had in that office in my lifetime. And came close to overturning an election because of it.

He was never close to overturning that election, that's simply not true.

You really think its the old white guys who are going to have the leg up if that battle comes to pass? I guess if the enemy encroaches on their porch it could be in their favor.

Inner city kids don't have guns? I don't see guns as a problem for either side.

So, you still don't understand the difference between rights and privileges? Privileges can be revoked.
Of course I do. But voting is a constitutional right.

But the biggest problem I have with your statement is assuming anyone without an ID is a criminal. That’s quite the reach. And importantly, it’s not just having an ID, it’s having the ”wrong” ID, which can be used to throw out someone’s vote for the simple fact that they have moved.

You're naive if you think it's old white guys. Ex military patriots are already on ready-set-go. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes do you?

As always, dems put what the party platform says over what the Bible teaches. Just look at the spinjob @BSC911 is attempting in the MLK thread.

Every single time there is a disagreement between the dem party platform and the Bible, the dems side with their party platform. That tells you where their priorities are.

Then you haven’t been paying attention. If he had gotten Pence to turn over the votes to the state legislatures, then he absolutely would have overturned the results. And I have a feeling you would have been fine with that.
No twat stick, it would have put forensic investigations into motion, forgoing having the SCOTUS punt the ball out of bounds. You really are one of the slowest of the slow. 🤣

Well, exactly how close he came or didn't come isn't really the point is it? He came closer than any other president of our lifetime. And he pushed every single angle.

Point being, Trump pushed the limits of presidential authority as far as he possibly could.

You have a right to vote if you can prove you are 18 and a US citizen which is done by possessing an ID.

Okay, last year's vote was anything but on the up and up. In a normal year, those audits never happen, IMO. All of the votes produced by mail-in and only signature validated were a scam.

Not sure if you are trolling or if you are serious.

The part about old white guys was "tongue in cheek".......especially because I am one.....or close to being one.

The other part about everybody having guns is mostly accurate, IMO.

Which ID? There are plenty of people that have had their votes tossed out even with a valid ID.

Im perfectly OK with voter IDs as long as they aren’t too restrictive.

Well, this is why coming up with some actual evidence.......the type you can use in a court of law.....was important. The other side doesn't believe any of that without proof being provided. I suspect if the boot was on the other foot you would feel the same way. As a matter of fact.........their accusations of voter suppression won't carry much water with republicans without them providing proof.....right? It works both ways........both sides accusing the other side without something to back it up does us no good. As a matter of fact, it does us a lot of harm.

My personal concern is not which side is right, but how do we hold the country together so my children can have the same advantages this country gave me. And the only way we do that is trying harder to understand each others viewpoints.
