To compare, Fsu returns 4 of 5 starters on o line, QB, 2WR, TE and a running back that has had carries for the past 2 seasons. We only have 1 guy on our o line that will be inexperienced. On defense we lost 1 corner and a DE but the DE will be replaced by a guy who had success last yr(burns) and a 5 star freshman. We also return derwin James. All other d lineman, linebackers, and secondary returns. We also return our punter and kicker

I cant remember a more experienced team that FSU had in the past 10 yrs.

So my question is how experienced are the Gators this yr?

Probably not as experienced as that. OL, RB, and WR have experience. The biggest question is QB. Defense moderately experienced.

They got enough experience to be expected to do much more on offense for once, if the results are the same... staff gets moving

Our offense is really experienced everywhere but at QB but doesn't have a good track record.

No returning starting QB and a rebuilt defense?

you obviously don't watch Gator football enough to realize "no returning starting qb" is a gigantic advantage to us, no matter what or who it actually is.. and the defense isn't really rebuilt, especially since prevent hat is gone to fail at temple...

Actually, UF has a returning starting QB that was 5-1 in 2016 before going down injured, twice,,,, during the season. Pay attention. o_O

The question becomes, is he good enough to again be the starting QB for 2017, but he is a returning starter from 2016, no matter what you think of his quality or abilities.

I believe that most would call the lines the most critical units, so I will address those first.

2015 - The Gators had 3 true Fr get starts on the OL, LG Ivey, RT Johnoon, and RG Jordan.

2016 - The Gators had the 1st and 2nd string centers go down injured, forcing a 3rd string rsFr in as the starter, and a true Fr took over at RT, Jawaan Taylor.

For 2017 - there will be no true freshmen starters on the OL. (knocks on wood)
Likely Returning Starters -- LT Ivey 6-5 305 Jr, C McCoy rsSo 6-1 308, RT Taylor 6-5 340 So
Ivey Outland - McCoy Rimington - Taylor Fr All SEC & AA 'The Great Wall of Waany'

Those that will be battling for the two inside jobs at LG & RG will include:
RG Nick Buchanan 6-2 301 rsSo (played, no starts)
RG/RT Fred Johnson 6-6 311 Jr (10 starts - leading for RG)
RG Antonio Riles 6-4 313 rsJr (6 starts)
-----
LG/C Brett Heggie 6-3 317 rsFr (leading for LG)
LG/C Tyler Jordan 6-4 309 Jr (10 starts at RT/RG/C)
LG/LT Kavaris Harkless 6-5 310 rsJr (1 start)

Others that will also get a chance in August to show what they can do in the rotation.
OT/OG Andrew Mike 6-6 301 rsJr - ST's FG unit, backup OL
OT/OG Stone Forsythe 6-7 329 rsFr
OL Kadeem Telfort 6-6 318 Fr
OL TJ Moore 6-6 290 Fr
-----

OG Nick Villano 6-2 301 rsSo
OG Marcus Givens 6-0 275 rsSo
OG Tanner Rowell 6-2 275 rsFr
OG Dallas Bruch 6-3 275 rsFr
===================

54. DT/NT Khairi Clark 6-2 319 rsJr - (4 starts)
93. DT Taven Bryan 6-5 300 rsJr - (3 starts)

96. DE/DT CeCe Jefferson 6-1 261 Jr - (10 starts, All SEC)

17. DE Jordan Sherit 6=4 254 rsSr - (11 starts)
95. DE Keivonnis Davis 6-4 241 Jr - (5 starts)
92. DE Jabari Zuniga 6-3 245 rsSo - (3 starts, All SEC)

Starts limited by various injuries and because of now gone NFL players in front of them.
Plus a few others with playing time but not starts.
