I listened to the quote and watched the video. Dan Mullen didn't say he wasn't recruiting. He just said he didn't want to talk about it. Immediately, a dozen writers flooded Twitter with, "DAN MULLEN DOESN'T RECRUIT DURING THE SEASON." It's now become a national story because of Gator writers.
Then it appears Dan Mullen punched back and removed access.
I don't think that was a coincidence. I think a lot of writers ran with a narrative today that made the people they rely upon for their livelihood not want to trust them anymore. Bad day for Gator writers.
