I got curious so I went and reviewed all our plays on the first 3 drives of the 2nd half. I guess some blame needs to go on the players besides the play calling. On the 2 RB passes one was designed and one was a safety valve due to pressure. On the designed screen Cronkrite looked to have a nice gain if he juked the initial guy which he should have been able to do easily (I think it was a LB) but he just drops the damn ball instead.

Also the biggest thing that stuck out was some of those running plays would have been successful without player screw ups. Goolsby just had a brain fart and didn't even attempt to block the guy on that 4th down that was clearly his responsibility in that strange formation where he was behind the line of scrimmage in between the Tackle and either a TE or WR. That would have been an easy first down if he just gets his body in front of the guy instead of running past him like he is lost.

By far the biggest thing that stood out in those 3 drives and what got our RBs stuffed multiple times is Johnson is horrible at run blocking as a Guard it appears. On one play he pulled and takes on a defender already occupied while letting his responsibility shoot right in to get the RB. On 2 other running plays he got abused or confused also letting the defender shoot right back to the RB when the play looked to be successful if he just knew what the heck he was doing. It wasn't even funny how bad Johnson looked on those running plays when you slowed the tape down.

I've watched them both not only whiff blocks but pancake our own linemen, they are pathetic... it all started by the soft play up front on that 3rd and inches to start the 2nd half, that was miserable and if they picked that up like any decent team with any guts can they would have had the ball at least to the 8 minute mark and at least flip field position and the way the first half was going who knows how the drive could have turned out.

o_O -- Nothing new there on the OT's playing OG. Said so before now.
Play Buchanan - Desir-Jones - Sandifer - or some freakin' body....

Nothing new on Goolsby's blocking (or 50/50 receiving), said so before now.
Play Stephens 6-3 249 - Go look at his HS Sr season playing WR at his size.

Put Duke Dawkins as a backup LB or Nic, he's to slow physically and mentally at CB.
Tell Wilson and Tabor to,,,,,,,, nev-ver-mine.

IF Trask is really as good as any 5 Star (I still think he is), then he should be playing instead of either of those average game managers, or a 4 star interception machine.
IF he's really not that good, then Nussmeyer should be fired for being a liar and/or incompetent, and Mc should take a pay cut for going along with it. If we wanted average or mediocre, we could still be watching musclecramp's offense.
~ If we had Trask change his name to Claribelle, would that help?

Their half time break was a joke in the locker room. They looked like they came out on 'cruse-control' instead of ready to play a 2nd half of SEC football.

Keep in mind that I'm just an old, blind, senile, arm-chair football fan that didn't really know squat when I was younger, but at least this bs didn't cost anyone a single dime... --- but if you CHOSE to read it, then that's YOUR problem, not mine. :p

Watching Jordan before he got hurt he at least always knew what his responsibility was for the most part. Jordan may not have been great at anything yet but you never saw the mental breakdowns with him like you see with Ivey sometimes and especially Johnson now. Taylor is probably our best O lineman right now. When Jordan is back Taylor should definitely be 2nd string until there is an injury.

Yep that was the beginning of it. No excuse on that for not just sneaking a big QB like Appleby. There shouldn't even be a chance there for a miscommunication issue to cause a play like that to be ran with less than a yard to go.

Out of all those drive you explained how many times did Florida attempt to throw downfield 20+ yards? ZERO!!!! Its not just the players

I say bench them all, including both freshmen (oh wait, they never play anyway), in favor of Claribel. Cause we've been assured that with Claribel, they could win....

Pro Football Focus Report: Happy-feet, Happy-by

Without any pressure (30/42 drop-backs), Appleby completed 69% for 278 yards and 2 TDs. However, when under pressure (12/42 drop-backs), he only completed 3 of 10 passes for 18 yards, including the interception and 2 sacks.” o_O

So, who do you want at QB with the current Gator OL?
==========

With just one reception allowed & two INTs recorded, #Florida CB Quincy WIlson is allowing a QB rating of 0.0 on throws into his coverage. (so his ducks actually were in a line)

After previously struggling when under pressure, Volunteers’ QB Josh Dobbs flourished against the Gators. Pressured on 14 of his 36 drop-backs (39%), Dobbs completed 8 of 11 passes for 216 yards and all 4 of his TDs when under pressure.”

“However, only 12 of Dobbs’ total passing yards came against CB Quincy Wilson.” :p
