Was told the other day that Florida has been in touch with junior college defensive back Antonio Nelson. This former Carver (AL.) high school product was committed to the Gators last year but did not sign with the Gators on National Signing Day. The Gators have a need for cornerback and would love to add Nelson back into the fold with his ability to play corner and safety, and I've been told that Florida feels confident that he will find his way back as a commit soon, however he would be a 2018 prospect with another year and half at Coahoma junior college.
He's had a pretty solid year as a freshman at his JUCO with 16 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 interceptions in just four games. He's also returned punts and kicks as well. Linked below is his HUDL tape for his midseason highlights and his JUCO profile from Coahoma
