2. Maybe all some need - or want - are part time jobs. Florida is full of retirees who fit that demographic. Like me. And we'd be in a labor crisis if we didn't have that resource - I don't want to work 40 hours a week, and I'm fortunate I don't need 40 hours a week. So I share my position with three other women who want part time and a fourth, a young woman who wants to work but is partially disabled.

Job numbers have been good under Trump. Better than Obama and better than I expected Trump would be able to reach. But underemployment, while better than unemployment, is still dangerous if it gives a false impression of a healthy labor market.
If you are a HS dropout are you really "underemployed" if you're a minimum wage worker? No, you're not. You're fully employed, likely in an entry level job that utilizes your educational level and skill set.
If you were unemployed before, it's now pretty healthy that you have a full time job, period. Actually, it indicates a "healthy" job market, because during the recession, you wouldn't have had a job at all.
