I have a feeling the committee might try and pull some crap if we don't beat Bama tomorrow.
Here are 3 scenarios they might try it if we lose:
TN beats Auburn and Bama
Mich St beats Wisconsin and then the Maryland game winner (look how many times previously a regular season big conference champ ended up a seed higher than expected)
Bama beats us and TN/Auburn

until either Bama or UT make the Championship game tomorrow, then the SEC tournament would matter this time around.. Just watch how they'll crown Bama if they win tomorrow.. It's complete bullshit, what more can we possibly do we should have already earned the 1.. It's embarrassing
It's just asking too much of a team, we have 3 less losses than Bama right now and even if we lost to them we'd split for the year and have a better record.. If we won then we would have gone 3-0 against Bama and Auburn and that should make you the 2nd overall 1 seed at WORST on top of our resume, not catching the scraps at the bottom because Houston and Duke play local girls high school teams the last 3 months while everyone else was playing NBA teams in the SEC. It's just so much, that Iron Bowl rubber match is the most obvious sight line given how predictable this tournament has already been.. I just wished we weren't getting screwed out of a deserved 1 seed for losing tomorrow, because it's just so hard to beat these teams multiple times much less in about 10 days.
You could be right. I see a lot of the non-media bracketology people saying they think the last # 1 seed will be given to the Bama - Florida winner today and they think it won't matter if TN or Auburn wins the SECT.
Florida will be the #1 seed in the West regardless of what happens today or tomorrow in the SECT. Book it. 3 different sites are now showing 14 SEC teams in the tournament. The Gators had the 2 best wins in the nation this year when they beat #1 Auburn on the road and then beat Top 5 Alabama on the road, plus beat then #1 Tennessee at home. No other team in the country has 3 quality wins of that magnitude, plus we finished a clear 2nd in the SEC regular season. Florida will be rewarded for that, no doubt. Just don't see how you can get so worked over over something that ain't gonna happen. Chill, my brother!

I don't expect any help from the refs today but like our chances. I think unless our guards are off today we probably win this game. Condon is a big mismatch over Nelson.
