2024-25 Basketball,,, all things considered...

Joe Lunardi says one thing while the NCAA committee usually does the opposite when it comes to bubble teams. If UF were sitting on an 8-10 SEC record, no way they'd get in.

Now with Georgia, how do you have an NBA lottery pick with some talent around you yet will most likely end up in the NIT?
In most years I would agree with you. This year I don't. The SEC is DEEP. Miss. St., Arkansas, Vandy & Georgia all have 8-10 records and will ALL get in. Oklahoma and Texas have 6-12 records and 1 of them is getting in, maybe both. Let's talk Sunday night or Monday morning and see who's right.

I think you are right. The SEC was crazy tough this year so 8 - 10 was almost a lock for the NCAAT. TX I think may be the only team from the SEC that needs another win to get in because OK has those good out of conference wins.

Probably. But I remember UF getting left out with 20 wins a time or two, or get a 12. 13-16 is usually reserved for mid majors with a decent record or blind hogs from a small conference winning their tournament.

I think it's the ACC out of the big conferences that 20 wins doesn't mean much this season. NC has 21 wins right now and there is a chance they may have to hit 23 wins to get in if Texas wins today I think. There shouldn't be any big conference 13 seed this year though.

too bad the Big 12 and ACC will protect both of their saviors to make sure they are 1 seeds.. The ACC doesn't care about UNC just simply getting in over Duke being the top seed, just look at the Miami football season this year lol.. and no one else in the Big 12 even matters so it's an easy call for them.

We've reached a territory where even the most casual fan can see through this bullshit now

I think the ACC may figure Duke is close to a done deal getting the East and would rather NC win that game to have a chance to get in.

Would we even get the East if we were considered the #2 overall seed? If it goes by closest available region I think Indy is closer to Gainesville than NJ but not exactly sure the rules on how that works.

TX might have to beat TN today to be safe for making the tournament.
With Regular Season Rick, it's highly possible. We didn't think they'd lose last year with a better roster.

He still hasn't made a Final Four has he.

Edit: I guess he did make a Final Four many years ago at Texas...
