2024-25 Basketball,,, all things considered...

The Tennessee game next Saturday will be VERY interesting. I expect it to be a close game, with Tennessee trying to get revenge. Beating them in Knoxville would be a gigantic win for Florida and we have 6 days to get ready. Should be fun to watch.
Today was a proper curb stomping. This team really plays good when they play loose on offense and defend the other end getting turnovers. I think going forward the best way to beat the Gators is to go into a Dean Smith 4 corners and pray for the best. That said, anyone in this league can beat anyone, it's crazy good.

It feels like since SEC play started, they've been playing down to the competition.

I don't know who might be watching the Auburn/UT game but it is one ugly streetball thugfest. 😂
I actually attended the game. My wife works in the athletic department. That place was filled to the rafters. SRO two and three deep. However it was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen.

Had things to do today so I missed the game. Also forgot to put in on record so I won't be able to watch it until it records Monday night on the replay. I did see the score though, so good to get the win.
Beat then #1 Ranked Tennis-sea 73 - 43 (-30)
None of the SEC opponents between those two were ranked in the Top 25.
Then beat NR Ugly 89 - 59 (-30) -- but it looks like NR UGly played better than #1 Rubber-dollies...

Both of those games in the O'Dome.
I'd be happy with a 1 pt win over both when they play on their coarts....

Yep we aren't an easy team to defend if our shooting isn't way off that day. Still bugs me we let KY get that win when it's obvious now if you just play really physical with them they are very beatable.

You know coach would love to have that one back. Teams that beat Kentucky play chest to chest physical because it is now obvious Kentucky plays soft. Shut down #4 Brea and defend and you will beat Kentucky. Get into a shoot out with them and they will score 100.

They will not be coming to Gainesville but we may meet them in the SEC Tournament. It will be a different game.

Top 68 NET Rankings:

#1 Auburn - Overall: 18-1 - Quad 1: 11-1 - (6-0 SEC)

#2 Dukie - Overall: 17-2 - Quad 1: 5-2

#3 Houston - Overall: 16-3 - Quad 1: 1-3

#4 Tennis-sea - Overall 17-3 - Quad 1: 5-3 - (4-3 SEC)

#5 Florida - Overall 18-2 - Quad 1: 4-2 - (5-2 SEC) UF beat #1 Def TN +30, so BS

Going by both the Overall, Quad 1, and SEC W/L records, make that 1>5 ranking make sense for me.... (IMO-1AU-2DU-3UF-4TN-5HU)

7 Alabama ------ 17-3 - 5-3
12 Texas A&M -- 15-5 - 6-5
13 Kentucky ---- 14-5 - 6-5
20 Miss St ------ 16-4 - 4-3
21 Ole Miss ----- 15-5 - 4-5
24 Mizzou ------ 16-4 - 3-4
32 Texas -------- 14-6 - 3-5
34 Georgia ------ 14-6 - 2-6
37 Vanderbilt ---- 16-4 - 3-3
46 Oklahoma --- 15-4 - 4-3
58 Arkansas ---- 12-8 - 1-7
67 LSU ---------- 12-7 - 0-6
That would put 15 of 16 SEC's in the Dance leaving only SCa out...

Interesting article. He most likely would only play a few minutes per game, so not sure it would be worth bringing him back this season. Coach will know.
I would definitely bring him back. If memory serves me correct, Joakim Noah was a project his first year and saw little action, averaged less than 4 points a game. Look at how that turned out, give him a little time to adjust to big boy basketball, you never know. It never hurts to have a huge extra big on the bench in any event. That being said, it will probably be up to him where he lands.

Cancel my entry. I was thinking about Olivier Rioux. 😂

UF basketball playe their worst game of the year, getting blown out by an Auburn team that came into the day 10-10, 1-6 in the SEC.
I was able to attend the game earlier today and I can tell you it was hard to watch. No clue what kind of offense we were trying to run and the defense was practically nonexistent. It’s clear we had much better athletes. So is the coaching the issue?

He changed his mind about playing against Georgia. Still deciding whether or not to burn his redshirt, but he wants to be an active part of this year's team.
Now that I've thought about it, we sure could use Micah, especially when Condon, Chinlyeu and Haugh get into foul trouble, which happens often.
