Gavin Blackwell, a Rivals100 pass catcher from Monroe (N.C.) Sun Valley, tells me he will definitely be returning to Gainesville for a game this fall. No date is scheduled just yet though.
"I plan on visiting this fall. I just know I'll be at a game this year," Blackwell said.
Blackwell has stayed in communication with the Gators since visiting and earning an offer in late March. Keiwan Ratliff and Brian Johnson are the staff members Blackwell typically reaches out to.
The Gators are recruiting Blackwell for the slot.
“My visit to Florida was really cool,” Blackwell previously told GatorsTerritory. “This was my first time being on campus and I really liked it. Coach Johnson knew I was coming, so he was waiting for me at registration. After that, we went on a tour and tried on uniforms, which is always fun.
“After that, [Ratliff] extended the offer. I was shocked. The offer came out of nowhere. I’ve talked to coach Johnson a couple of times, but I never really thought that they were going to offer me. For them to offer me, it was big.”

A top six of South Carolina, Duke, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia was released earlier this year. However, that list has definitely changed with childhood favorite Ohio State, LSU, Florida State and others now heavily in the mix as well.
Florida State welcomed Blackwell to campus for Saturday Night Lights as well.
Blackwell racked up 1,156 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns as a sophomore.
