Before the season, almost everybody on the board stated that one of the goals for the year was to have meaningful offensive improvement. With one regular season game to go, I think it's safe to say that goal appears to have been reached. With the exception of passing yards per game (ranked 83rd), the Gators rank in the top half of FBS in virtually every other offensive category. Some of the key ones:
Points per game: 30th
Total 1st Downs: 43rd
3rd Down Conversions: 40th
Interceptions Thrown: 27th
Rushing yards/game: 35th
Passing Efficiency: 46th
Total Yards/game: 55th
This is not a great offense, but it's generally been a competent offense, despite the inconsistency of Franks, and to some extent, the offensive line. Over the course of the year, I thought the only really poor offensive games were against Kentucky and Missouri.
Let's hope they can finish off the year with a solid offensive output--400+ yards and 28+ points, and a 9-3 record. All told, that'd meet or exceed almost any realistic expectations for the year.
