==========

This group of WR's is part of the reason that I'd like to have a 70+% QB throwing the ball, instead of a QB/RB, other than a part time Wildcat maybe.
Another part is the defenses the Gators face. I'd like to see a QB play the entire season for a change.
And another part is the 5 Top quality RB's and 4 TE's on the roster. Throw the damn ball effectively, and scramble/run when it breaks down and you have to run it occasionally.

2017 Receiver Depth Chart: (maybe)

WR - Callaway - Swain - Green - Jackson

WR - Cleveland - Hammond - Wells - Robinson

Slot - Powell - Massey - Toney

TE - Goolsby - Lewis - Stephens - Gamble

RB - Perine - Thompson - Scarlett - Davis - Lemons

~ Wildcat QB's: Massey - Toney

Having a Colt McCoy style QB who can complete 70%+ of his passes is fine, but there's nothing wrong with an athletic guy who can pass accurately.

It's not either or, and often times, an athletic QB can get his receivers open better than a traditional pocket passer.

I personally have no interest in a run first QB who's real talent is his athleticism, but can't make traditional passing moves.

Do you look for every opportunity you can to somehow move Thompson up the depth chart??

Hell if either of the freshman are good he may not see the field

DeShaun Watson was not an overly accurate QB but because you had to respect his athleticism he was able to pass very effectively. Cam, Mariota, etc are becoming the norm. These statue types will face as even the traditional pro-style offenses can get guys like Fields to run their offense. Its no longer a one or the other type situation.

Do you HATE Thompson so much that you won't even give him credit for being a very good receiver coming out of the backfield?
Did he steal your girlfriend, or are you Scarlett's mother/girlfriend?

Just like with Franks, Trask, Stephens, and Thompson, the coaches will play whomever they want to. And they will do so for whatever reasons that they may have. While neither you nor I will make the slightest difference in their decisions as to who plays and who doesn't... o_O

Gawd's but you're a tiring bore...

I agree but you, like everybody, have your favorite players.

Let fans be fans.

Michi was quoting you, not me. So tell it to him.

And I wasn't talking to you, nor do I want to, I was talking to him.

Outside the reception in the bowl game, what makes you think Thompson is a great receving back, because outside of that he has done nothing as a receiver. And he runs so upright you can't even use him in short yardage. And he has a tendency to nit hold on to the ball.

I liked Scarlett the day we signed him and for the very reason we see, he has excellent big play ability

I asked you before how many fumbles they each had in 2016, but you failed to respond with any stats.

I'm fine with all of the RB's working and playing.
You want Scarlett to get all the carries.
The coaches will do what they want to do, but the RB Coach (Seider) has said that he favors using them all, with the hot hand getting the carries at any particular point in time. You don't like that, take it up with him.

BTW, I'm not the only one that knows that Perine and Thompson were the two best RB receivers in 2016. And I'm not the only one that has said that Scarlett HAS to improve his receiving skills.

As to who leaves and who stays at QB, do any of you phootball genius types think that in 2018 they will have/keep all of them on the roster?
LDR rsSr-Franks rsSo-Trask rsSo-Toney So-Allen rsFr-Corral Fr.
And should they do so, wasting several ships imo, or should they lose a couple of them and put at least 2 ships to better use on other positions?
