Just caught a couple of the preliminary races but not the one that Jeff Demps was in so not sure if he got a top 3 to advance to tonight. In the one heat that Brommell guy makes me think he is sitting on a big race come Olympics time. I think there is probably too much speed for Demps to make the team if he did advance to tonight.

It looks like one of the 2 college guys may have made it into the finals tonight. The one from Oregon as it was close whether he got one of the 2 time slots from the semis. The Georgia guy Boling had a bad race and finished well back. I think the NCAA 100m winner chose just to run the 200m here.

Brommell, Baker and Kerley got the 3 spots for the Olympics. Gatlin appears like age finally caught up to him having to do all these heats. I wonder if any of the other countries have anyone that can give Brommell a challenge. With Bolt gone I am not sure anyone can run him down if he takes a lead.

Keep in mind that although Noah Lyles did not compete at Florida, he and his brother were students at UF. They were both born in Gainesville. Lyles best event is the 200.

Haven't watched the 200 lately but in the 100 I don't know much about Kerley or Baker but I think Brommell is sitting on a 9.7 area 100m if there is no headwind in Tokyo. Just has the look he is waiting to peak for the Olympics.

With Coleman sitting on the sidelines this year, Brommell is the fastest dude in the land. Don't think anyone internationally can beat him if he brings his A game.

Yep forgot he was suspended and he had that crazy time not too long ago. Would have been a big buildup if he was there.

Well I guess Bromell ran poorly in a his heat and didn't make the finals.

Italy's Marcell Jacobs won the gold with a time of 9.80 with USA Fred Kerley getting the silver with a 9.84. Never heard much about Jacobs before.

In the women's 100m Jamaica took the top 3 spots with Elaine Herah breaking Joyner's Olympic record with a time of 10.61. The lone US woman to make the finals ended up 7th I think.
