Elon Musk. The Hero we all need

Instead of being a coward like many businesses and hiding behind “the first amendment doesn’t apply here as we are a private business” like damn near every tech platform….Elon Musk realizes that free speech isn’t about shutting speech down because you can.

Free speech is a set of values that says, it’s important to hear everyone. It’s important to listen to all sides, because that other slope is so damn slippery. Once you go down it, it’s tough to climb back up.

He realizes, that hearing how bad/good someone is, is very important. Wish other platforms were the same, and didn’t shut down free speech because “they can”. Shutting down “free speech” doesn’t end well, no matter the justification.

Prospect Watch: 2023 Florida OT Brendan Black

All offensive line units need that tone setter in the trenches. At Jacksonville’s The Bolles School, Brendan Black is that guy. The 6-4, 300-pound, tackle is a mauler on the snap routinely finishing plays with a knockdown or pancake. His tenacity and skills have put 12 offers down going into the spring recruiting cycle.

The recent offers have come from Duke, Miami, Memphis, and Kansas with Virginia, Florida and Mississippi State showing interest. The Cavaliers, Gators and Bulldogs have taken the evaluation a step further stopping by his school for the proverbial eyeball test.

BIG Visit Day Saturday

Schedule Note - My son is in the thick of his 9th grade baseball season, played last night at Buford - kept it close for three innings 0-0 lost 12-0 in six lol. On the bright side he faced 87 last night lol. Yikes. He is on the mound tonight vs the 5-0 North Gwinnett kids who murder the ball. Double header Saturday so I will be out for periods of the day.....Florida has a BIG group coming in Saturday...Here is some of the headliners for tomorrow.

I just want to see more of the facility and spend more quality time with the coaches —John Walker

Getting to know coach Sale and Stapelton in person rather than on FaceTime, it’s a huge difference —Payton Kirkland

I’m just ready to get a view on campus and vibe and chill with the coaches I been keeping up with —Zavion Hardy

Right now To be honest.. Florida is not on my top 10 list.. so imma go tmrw to see if they can change my mind on it.. I’m looking forward to see how they can develop me not only on the field but in the classrooms and as a person too.. I’m looking forward to meeting the new staff.. and hopefully see if this is the team that I wanna work with—Francis Mauigoa

Mainly want to meet all the coaches and see the facilities. Also want to see and learn more about the school so I can know if it is a place for me or not. Also a place I want to know if it feels like home —Jalon Kilgore

Im mostly looking for how the coaches are such as how they run things at UF and how they treat their players!!!—Javion Clark

Excited to be back on campus and see gainseville again, it’s been a while and just get that feel back—Keon Keeley

My visit Saturday with the University of Florida, I most am looking forward in the education and the environment around the the and the campus itself, but I most importantly will be looking forward to my relationship with the coaching staff, I also look forward in seeing the facilities and everything because I never been to UF before. So I hope this visit is a nice experience. --Tyree Patterson.

Coach Billy Napier is the next head coach of the Gators...

"No decision has been made yet," Napier said in a Saturday evening press conference, asked about the rumor mill. "We're still certainly evaluating everything, and I think the main thing here is that our focus is on this team, this group, and the work that's left to be done.

"You know, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

That bridge could be approaching in the very near future, as Florida intends to hire its next head coach "as quickly as we can," per athletic director Scott Stricklin.
---------------------------------------------

Well I do think there is not a 100% agreed upon deal yet but if they are basically right there it will be announced by sometime Tuesday. Napier never makes it sound like he is staying at ULL but who knows if LSU is now targeting him or not since they aren't getting Riley according to him.

RBs ? Pierce & Davis-NFL Draft; Johnson & Etienne sign with UF-Nay'Quan ?

The transfer portal lists Montrell Johnsson 4* as heading to UF from ULL, but shows a 100% indicator instead of committed, either paperwork isn't complete - Academics ? or he is still undecided.

Emani Bailey has transferred & committed to TCU

Trevonte Citizen is predicted - FWIW - 100% to LSU where he was formerly committed

Three scholarship RBs on the roster -
Nay'Quan Wright - in last year's rotation; but injury status unknown to me
Demarckus Bowman - 5* transfer but few carries
Lorenzo Lingard - 5* transfer but few carries

Montrell Johnson - 4* transfer, committed but unsigned
Trevor Etienne - 4* committed to UF but unsigned till Feb 2 - NSD

Assuming Johnson & Etienne complete all their paperwork & Academically qualify Is 5 RBs enough or do we fight diminishing returns & keep recruiting ?

What a better way to get some vitamins in that with a THC gummy right? With this being said, these do not HIT like our 100 mg Delta 8 gummies but they do provide the perfect experience for those who don’t consume THC daily. These would be more for your day use type of situation or just chilling at night and watching funny movie. These are ideal for those suffering with stress/anxiety and need that stress taken off their shoulders. What is the difference between D9 and D8 you ask? D9 and D8 provide a very similar experience and D9 is the primary compound in Marijuana but we added the max amount to keep it legal in ALL fifty states. Enjoy

Comparable Products: Our newest zero THC sleep gummies with CBN, Lemon Balm and Valerian root (Note: You still may fail a drug test with these, so buyer beware. The last comparable product is our 30 mg D8 Jolly Rancher which is our least powerful D8 product we have.

Goodbye Rivals Family-Retirement Speech

Today is a very sad day for you at Rivals as you have to say goodbye to wonderful poster(me). I has worked with you for a long time and have never let you down. I have always been extremely professional, hard-working and a team player. I have a brilliant mind and always brought creative new ideas to the team.

I have not only been a fantastic colleague, but have also been a true friend. I always took the time to ask how my fellow colleagues were, always had time to listen and talk to anybody with a problem and was great fun in the forums. I was always full of energy and happy to see everyone on Monday mornings.

My being gone is a great loss to our company but you were lucky to have the opportunity to post with me . I know you all wish me the very best in the future. I know that whatever the future holds, I will excel and continue to be successful.

I will miss you but this isn’t goodbye as we know you will keep in touch and you will see me sooner rather than later. Thank you for everything you have given to the me and this site. @Franz Beard be careful chewing on those hard candies. @JasonHigdon make sure to hit the proof-read option on those stories before posting. @gator1776 tell your wife I’ll see her at 8. @KearsedGator42 keep on keeping on. Everyone else I’ll see you when I see you.

Gator Collective - Offensive Line Meet & Greet

I attended a Gator Collective event today and I just wanted to publicly thank them in here, because I know most of the people running the show are on these boards. Absolutely fantastic event!

For those unaware, they had a drawing for GC Members and we were selected to participate in a Meet & Greet with the Offensive Line + Relationship Ribs provided by Shannon Snell, all inside the IPF. For 2 hours my 5 year old ran all around the IPF throwing footballs, harassing tackling dummies and rolling around the turf.

We must’ve spoken to 10 different players, each of them being extremely polite and engaging, and acting genuinely interested in being there (I assumed a bunch of 18-22yo’s would view this as an annoying “chore”, but this was the exact opposite). All of them signed an autograph for my little guy, with several of them saying jokes and talking to him.

As a group, it was a very impressive group of polished young men. It feels unfair to call out anyone individually because they were all very impressive and working the room but a few conversations that stood out were Josh Braun, Richard Gouraige, Austin Barber and both UL transfers. By the way, Kamryn Waites looks like the College Football Version of The Mountain. But again, all the kids were impressive; these were just the few that had a chance to spend an extra 15 seconds before my 5yo’s attention span sent us away.

I was also impressed that the OL coaching staff also showed up and fully participated. Coach Sale and Coach Stapleton probably spent 5 minutes talking to me, my friend and our kids.
Shannon Snell catered the event, but he specifically said the ribs were his competition recipe and not just the Sonny’s standard… the ribs were FIRE!

And finally, I feel the need to apologize to the Gator Collective Team. In the past I’ve been somewhat critical of the group on here for one reason or another. However, it could not have been more obvious that the UF players and coaches are fully supportive of the Gator Collective. You could argue the players are contractually obligated to attend if they’re getting $, but why else would the coaches take time out of their Sunday afternoon to come and shake a few hands if they weren’t 100% behind GC?

I wish I could do more but I will be upping my GC commitment from $10/mo to $20/mo, and I think I was able to convince a friend to join today too. I suggest everyone do the same!

Go Gators!
