Other Notes:

Also, I caught up with Kim Boardingham. They are staying home this weekend and will finish up OV's next at Oregon before making a final decision. She told me the most important factors for her and the family is making the decision that will make Arlis the happiest. Arlis has a plan, he wants a coaching staff that will train him to his fullest potential, a team that can develop a brotherhood with, and an environment that provides some peace of mind where he feels safe on and off the football field..

Clay Wedin:
"Yes sir I am actually visiting UF this Sunday probably with my dad. I would love to meet Coach Stapleton and Coach Sale and talk to them a little bit about recruiting and football talk."

AJ Harris left me a message this morning saying things were great to say the least so far..

Gator Basketball Threads

Why is it after every loss the fire Mike White mob is out in full force? After every win it’s pretty much crickets minus a few stating they hope the team makes a run. Just a strange pattern I’ve noticed on this board.

This team plays their hearts out every week. I know I’m in the minority, but I hope this team makes a run and saves Mike White’s job. If not, I’m going to pull for this team until the season ends or the bottom falls out. If moving on from Mike White is best at that point, fine. But please put away the porch forks, we’re not there yet. 😂

Women's Tenns Dual Match - Sunday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida women's tennis will open the 2022 dual match campaign on Sunday and Monday when North and South Florida visit Gainesville and the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

Sunday's match with North Florida is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET while South Florida will matchup with Florida at 3 p.m. ET on Monday afternoon. The Gators will wear special warm-up shirts on Sunday in honor of the 50th anniversary of women's sports at Florida.

In the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association's team rankings, Florida held steady at the No. 20 spot and hold four doubles pairings and two singles spots.

Florida opened their spring season at the Freeman Memorial Tournament in Las Vegas where the freshman duo of Alicia Dudeney and Bente Spee captured the first doubles title at the event for UF since the 2004 campaign. The pair, ranked No. 46 in the ITA doubles rankings, overcame Stanford's No. 38 team of Connie Ma and Angelica Blake, 6-4, to take the title.

The No. 24-ranked duo of Carly Briggs and Marlee Zein also earned a ranked win on the final day of the tournament, downing No. 11 Lisa Zaar and Victories Flores of Pepperdine, 6-4.

Other Gators earning ranked-victories included No. 87 Emma Shelton over No. 30 Victoria Flores of Pepperdine (6-2, 7-5) and McCartney Kessler over No. 49 Sasha Vagramov of UCLA (6-3, 6-2).

Florida welcomes back four athletes from a season ago in addition to two transfers and a trio of freshmen. Carly Briggs and Emma Shelton join Florida after spending time previously at Tennessee and South Carolina, respectively.
Senior McCartney Kessler, utilizing her extra year of eligibility, looks to lead the way following a 2021 campaign that saw her earn All-American honors in both singles and doubles competition. Fellow senior, Marlee Zein, also returns after a big junior campaign that ended with All-American honors alongside Kessler.

1. Coach Napier and his staff had great hospitality over the course of the weekend. Gainesville is a cool place, me and my family enjoyed it very much.

2. Coach Spencer is a high level experienced Coach who brings a very energetic approach to the defense. They have numerous schemes that they feel I fit in at, and that was very cool to see in our conversations.

3. Florida has a great program back on the rise, looking forward to carrying on in the process with them.

4. Antwaun Powell was my hosts, great dude overall. He kept it real with me over the course of the whole trip and showed me around Gainesville. Great group of guys they got there on the team, was very nice to spend time with them.

Just insane: TSA confirms allowing migrants to use arrest documents as ID to board airplanes

The lunacy of this administration has no limits. I thought this was an SNL skit.
So American citizens get thrown off planes for no mask but illegal aliens aka non citizens can board our airplanes using the documents that were created when they broke our law in the first place.
Lunacy indeed!

This will be the dems new answer on how aliens can vote with their new "ID".

Friday Free-for-All:

Expectation Levels?

Taking the pulse of the Gator Nation right now, it seems we are at an all-time high – very similar to when Urban Meyer arrived in Gainesville. Are you worried that the expectation level is set too high right now?

How many years are you willing to give these guys until they bring Florida back? What does “back” mean for you? SECCG appearance? Are we talking 10-2? Break it down for me. Right now, Florida seems like the flavor of the month, which worries me a bit because it seems the bar is set sooooo high we might have a hard time reaching it, but this is the University of Florida, and the bar should be hard to reach.

Is this going to be the longest off-season in the history of Florida football? That’s what it feels like to me.

Recruiting Expectations?

Right now, we have 12 official visitors scheduled we can talk about – How many of these 12 do you believe Coach Napier needs to land to have a successful stretch run to National Signing Day?

Australian Open is rolling – did you know?

Without using Google!

Can you name Boxing’s longest-reigning champion? He has held the belt for 2,493 days. He is the 126-pound champ and fights once a year. If you said Gary Russell JR, congrats, but I know you didn’t. Saturday night on Showtime at 9 PM ET, he will defend his featherweight title when he fights Mark Magsayo – trained by Freddie Roach and promoted by Manny Pacquiao. I will be curious to see this fight.

You already know I will be watching UFC 270 – Ngannou vs. Gane + Moreno vs. Figueiredo. I have not changed my predictions from earlier in the week, so I am sticking with Ngannou and Figueiredo.
