Boosters can spend their money any way that they want, but I guess I don't understand why anyone thinks bringing Billy back is the answer.
1. You would rather spend $20 million on NIL, but not replace a Coach that hasn't shown he's a good coach in any way, he hasn't even shown to be a good CEO.
A. Spending $20 mill to potentially be .500, a little better or worse and then decide to replace the coach next year accomplishes what, the players you just brought in might not even fit a new coach's system or hit the portal. You could be literally throwing money away.
B. New contracts for assistant coaches that you would need to pay on top of the buyout for Napier.
C. I'm going to guess you'll see donations made to Florida Victorious drop considerably
D. All you've done is kick the can down the road, he's still going to be looked at as a lame duck coach and the negative recruiting would be loud, making you have to overpay for portal transfers
E. Your competition to get a new coach gets tougher, as there very possibly could be some top level jobs open, which are as good as UF or better.
F. What makes you think the assistants he is going to hire would be successful, he hasn't shown a great track record of good assistant hires.
