Grantham

I am a little scared we might get a good effort out of the defense for the Georgia game and Mullen will use that to try and justify keeping him. I hope that scenario doesn't play out that way somehow.

No worries. UGa is going to run at will. LSU was walking wounded, with their two best WR's out. How do you run at will when you can't mount a credible passing game? You can against Grantham, evidently. And if LSU could do it, what will UGa do?

I'm still in shock at how we seemed stunned every time they ran up the middle.

maybe faking a pass after every single hand off really does work.

Are we going to correct mistakes one week at a time? Bama=special teams, Kentucky = penalties, LSU= counter play…

The QB Whisperer's 2 QB threw 2 Ints each yesterday.
They have combined for 15 TD's to 12 Int's on the season.
Would you say that helps or hurts any defense?

Nic, WE (me/you/fans) are not going to correct squat, (unless maybe we STFU)

Team play evolves, either up or down, depending on who's in/on the team.

#1 Saban/Bama lost to NR aTm.
#2 Iowa just lost to NR Ppp-Uuuuuu (Purdue).

Yesterday, 4-5 ranked teams lost to NR teams.
OK has 6 wins of 7 Pts or less.
UF has 3 losses of 7 Pts or less.
Guano Occurs....

We can always go to the 'Queen of Hearts' method of handling it.
OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.....

I understand we don’t want a knee jerk reaction but the defense is highly frustrating.

And the same fans knew that the previous 2 coaches weren't working out before there was a coaching change. If you were to say that it only happened because of the pressure, than you would be saying the leadership is spineless. So, the only choices were that bad hiring decisions were made OR we have leadership with the backbone of a jellyfish.

BTW, I've had some horrible teachers. Lots of people can say the same. Not everybody that is in that position deserves to be. By your logic, there can't ever be any bad coaches or teachers in the history of the world. Also, by your flawed logic the one to hire them shouldn't be questioned because we are mere fans. That's a dangerous mentality that goes beyond sports.

Lol you would defend Grantham even if UF was winless and everyone put up 50 points, because we're just "mere fans".

Being new here, you don't know that I suggested that Socialist-U should disband the AAU, fire ALL of the Gator coaches, and return to being a learning institution with an ROTC Rifle Team and Intramural sports instead of consenting to having the freakin Marxist BLM on campus and being a feeder for the useless and unnecessary NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.....

Intramural sports are played on campus among students, faculty, and staff.
They provide exercise, recreation, competition, and fun to all participants in a relaxed, yet structured environment.

This should go over well, especially with all of those that are making $$$$$ off of the Florida Taxpayer funded UF.... 😉

Grantham has sucked for years. He's had a couple of good seasons, a couple of ok seasons, as several bad. Again, go ask georgia if they want him back..

That was one of the most frustrating Gator games I have watched.

How many times did they call that same play up the middle, and we kept 5 players in the secondary????

It could be ultimately the demise of Mullen's Florida tenure.
That and if he screws up with Richardson. I think even with a new DC he doesn't survive until 2023 if Richardson leaves. Especially with the media focused on why he didn't start him if he is a Heisman contender at Ole Miss or somewhere else next season.

Personally, I (iG) don't know chit about football, offense or defense, I just like to watch boys play around on Saturdays when I have nothing better to do. However there are some professionals in the football world that think that Grantham can coach. He also has some coaching history that's available for anyone to view and judge him on...
=====

Grantham followed Mullen from Mississippi State where he spent the 2017 season as the Bulldogs defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Overall, Grantham has 32 years of coaching experience that includes 12 seasons as a defensive coordinator. He has served as a DC with four college programs (Florida, 2018; MSU, 2017; Louisville, 2014-16; Georgia, 2010-13) and one NFL team (Cleveland Browns, 2005-07).

Todd was with the Cowboys for two years (2008-09) after spending three seasons as defensive coordinator with the Browns, and six years as defensive line coach for both the Houston Texans (2002-04) and Indianapolis Colts (1999-01). Prior to his tenure with the Colts, Grantham made his name in the collegiate ranks, when he served for three seasons as Michigan State’s defensive line coach and one as assistant head coach at Michigan State under Nick Saban.

During his career, Grantham worked under several successful defensive minds on both the pro and college levels, including Saban, Frank Beamer and Bud Foster at Virginia Tech, Romeo Crennel in Cleveland, Dom Capers in Houston and Wade Phillips in Dallas.

(iG) So I'm pretty sure that ALL of those guys agree with the Todd haters here and at buttsniffing UGly, that Todd just fell off of a turnip truck and should return to it ASAP.

For any that might want the actual facts, instead of whiny fan drivel, here's UF's Official Comprehensive Bio on him.

How come when we give facts its "whiney fan drivel", but when you give facts it's should not be considered "fan drivel"?

I don't know why I bother, tbh, because the credibility of a person's sincerity is in question when he supports mediocre results for years in multiple sports. Hence troll account.

But I will humor you....

How many more years will you give Mullen before winning the SEC?

How many more years will you give the defense from having multiple classes look confused in Grantham's scheme?

No one can question his coaching career or knowledge of the game. However his scheme is without any new wrinkles at present. He runs the same stuff . Todd has not evolved just as what happens to most coaches . That stay on the game for decades. Not to mention that 3-4 alignment sucks you have to have a a certain level of players to make it really be at optimum. And when he had those type layers he was given credit as being a top tier DC. But every year he didn't have those caliber players he shows he doesn't belong at a high level school such as Florida. Ga whom canned his butt. If Mullen truly wants to be here this is the first of many needed steps to right this ship. Or the boosters need to pressure Strickland and clean house.

I already said that i don't know chit about football.
I also don't have any power or say about who is hired or fired at Socialist-U.

I don't know, or owe anything to any coach, Gator or otherwise.

And then dumping the majority of the dumb as a rock excuse for student/athletes.
If they couldn't get in as regular students, then they shouldn't be there in the 1st place.

I've read your whiny fan drivel, did you go to Grantham's Bio and read ALL of it?
If you did, then you seem to have left out significant positions of it, in order to fit your own agenda.
Have you emailed Dan and given him your own recommendations and informed reasons for firing Grantham? And they might as well also fire the incompetent DL & OL coaches?

If Dan doesn't like it, then he can walk and the UAA/AD can instead hire a committee of whiny fans to do the coaching that Socialist-U deserves now daze....

You harped up that charlatan failed-pimp Bob Lazar for 2 years and his imaginary perpetual motion alien SuperDrive machine - I’m pretty sure I don’t want to make the list of whom you respect

When we had a mediocre O, we had a stout D.

Who was our best DC under Mac? Where is he??

You are just as clueless about people as you are about football.

In fact, I can't think of a single topic in which you aren't utterly clueless and misinformed.

While you and a few other 'know it all' genius types claimed that Aliens spacecraft were impossible, because you know all there is to know about physics in this 'infinite universe.'

What I knew about with my Top Secret clearance 50+ years ago, you prolly still don't accept as facts. And back then, as now, they ain't Russian or Chinese.

Pentagon Has ‘Off-World Vehicles Not Made on This Earth’ Bombshell:

The government’s once-clandestine UFO program will reveal findings on unexplained materials and crashes.

Update 7/26: We've updated this story to include official comments provided by the Pentagon to Popular Mechanics, as well as a clarification of Senator Harry Reid's original comments in the New York Times report.

As to Bob Lazar credibility...

With atomic numbers of 113, 115, 117, and 118, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) announced the addition of these four elements to the periodic table, but one of them, Element 115 was already announced in 1989 when Bob Lazar, famous area 51 whistleblower revealed to the public that the UFOs were powered by it.

Uh huh…. Ya know element 115 only has a stability period of 0.65 seconds, right??? By the time you’s gots somes, it’s gone like a fart in the breeze, not unlike your wit

Another useless dodge attempt, as is usual for the LLL's & dog-pokers of the world.

First it doesn't exist, to well, we can't produce it in stable form, (yet).
So how did Lazar even know about E-115 way back in 1989 when he was working at Area 51 in an attempt to reverse engineer the ships that they had stored there?

Twits like you claimed that Lazar was crazy/lying/stupid, when he said that Element 115 existed way back in 1989. However, 20+ years later it has now been proven that Element 115 does exist after all, we just don't know how to make it in the stable version that is used in the UAP's.

The actual science has proven who the crazy/lyng/stupid one's really are...
🤓
So, step forward dog-poker and take your twits bow....

If I'm really loony about UFO's/UAP's, then don't take my word for their existence.

UFO's/UAP's don't exist, the physics currently known on Earth proves that.

Unless we don't know everything there is to know about the 'infinite universe. like the existence of a stable Element 115 power source.

These things are not Russian or Chinese, because I was aware of them 50+ years ago.

Don't be obtuse. Grantham sucks balls, salty donkey balls. There isn't SHIT done in player development, we've got guys running around on defense other teams with better D's would kill for. Yet they suck. Lack of discipline, jumping offsides, can't get lined up and know their assignments, shuffled on and off the field yet someone is always left uncovered, THROWING SHOES costing games........C'mon man. I like Dan, but Grantham needs TO GO.

Do you lack the ability to read and remember what I've already said, or are you just being intentionally obtuse?

This crap is just cheap entertainment for me, as I've said before.

What I was doing between posts was much more interesting to me, watching this:

Insta is a loyal soldier to Grantham until the end. Maybe he is due for a good game against Georgia.
He's in denial. I like Insta. But his unwavering loyalty to Grantham is tiresome. I love our head corch. He is an offensive juggernaut. Dan's loyalties however do not further our cause to be the best we can be. I say prayers for Corch Dan. May he have the strength to unass his loyalties to players that can't grasp the pebble, give him the strength to fire hangers-on subpar defensive coordinators. It is my Gator prayer.
