Florida - Miami matchup

You guys have no idea about our playbook neither do the fans. Miami has film of Mullen

Game decided in 2nd half

Diaz doesn't need film on Mullen's offense; he was Miss State's DC twice (2010 & 2015) & saw Mullen's offense every day on the practice field.

Agree with game decided in 2nd half expecially after injuries to UF's
Jean Delance and Kyree Campbell.

Miami lost one of their safeties today as well and they are already weak in the secondary. I actually think we are going to tear them up through the air and get the ball in Van Jefferson, Grimes, Toney’s and Copeland’s hands and let them do the work.

Yes big loss...#4 safety who was soon going to be #5 with USC transfer Bolden now on the team and practicing. o_O

Yep that probably isn't that big unless there is a safety that goes down during the game. Do you think Miami will do much on offense with a true freshman LT and redshirt freshmen at QB and RT?

It’s coming...

Well we will probably have 2/3 of the stadium but it will suck if you get stuck near the Miami sections.

Not sure but our offense was so bad last year (historically bad) and predictable that new OC Enos and a young but talented QB can only do better. 1st game against your Florida Gators...? Maybe not, but that's why we play the games. As for the true freshman at LT he just came in early, had spring ball and took the position. We'll see how good he is come game day but he earned it and goes against a great group of DE everyday in practice.

GO CANES!!!

To you Gators,

RELENTLESS PRESSURE!!!!!!!!! Franks is going to be on his AZZ all day! The chain will debut in the 1st qtr and will be worn at least 3 times.. Yes, we have a verrrrrrrrry young offense, but our defense is gonna bring it!

Keep on talking smack and underestimating Miami. You'll see 8/24! I'll be back ;)

And JCAT,

positive thoughts??? WTF!?
Dude relax....everytime I talk smack we lose....everytime I say something nice we win....
You're fuking up my ju ju biatch!!!!!!

They don't even fill up their own stadium for FSU. I would be shocked if they have over 40% of that stadium.
I hate to admit this, but there are usually more FSU fans at Miami home games than there are Miami fans. Just look at the Wisconsin-Miami Orange Bowl game in 2017. The Wisconsin fans clearly outnumbered them.
Yeah we know, the Wisconsin residents normally take their vacations during the winter holidays to travel down south to get away from the snow.

They certainly filled their own stadium when we played them in 2013. They will come. They love these “spotlight” games, especially against us.

Tellin’ ya guys, ya’ll have a warped sense of what you think Miami is (and what they might be for regular games). But we bring them out...and the fan bases bring out the worst in each other. It is an absolutely toxic rivalry.

No not really. The last time they had a good team that was on the national scene and was really good was 2003. It’s been 15 years since they put a national contender on the field. Miami isn’t what they used to be and not sure they ever get back to those Jimmie Johnson/Schnellenberger/Butch Davis days. They struggle to compete.

We are better from top to bottom and we have our challenges...have the better coach/staff and the players are in their 2nd year in the system....unless turnovers become a big factor we win...or win by multiple scores.

Agree UF checks more of the boxes in this game but Miami will have a very good defense and has weapons on offense so you guys better play well or many of you will be quite disappointed come Aug 25th. ;)

QB - UF
RB - Even (you guys like yours, we like ours)
Wr - Even...see above.
TE Miami
OL ??? Both have holes and will be key to the game
DL- Miami
LB - Miami
CB- UF
S - UF
SP - UF (but Miami has the better and more dangerous return game)
Coaching - UF
Home Field - UF

I will try and do this without the Orange and Blue glasses on:

QB - UF
RB - Even - I think this is close and our RBs just had a better line last season but talent is probably close
WR - UF
TE - Miami
OL - UF - A new line for UF but Miami will have 2 starters that have no experience or hardly any.
DL - Even - both teams have real good pass rushers at DE but the DTs are not elite.
LB - Miami
CB - UF
S - UF

How many catches did your WRs have last season? We bring back our top guys while you will be relying on some untested folks. Not sure how that is even? Our RB depth is better, but I will give you even at the top spot on that.

sadgator attended the 2003 game in the Orange Bowl with his father. It was the best 2 1/2 quarters of fun at a football game sadgator had ever had...then they shut the beer taps off in the gator section concessions...then they beat us...

They just win...it is unexplainable...

Oh, and by the way, Florida’s WR group is so much better than Miami’s that it isn’t even a discussion point...just sayin’...

“We’re going to blow it up this year. The offense is way different than last year, way different. Everybody is just being used around, spread apart. It’s going to be way different. Faster, everything,” redshirt freshman TE Dante Lang said.

14. TE/ST's Lucas Krull rsJr 6-6 255 rsJr **** (2017 JuCo xfer, RHP)
Played in all 13 games as a key member of Florida’s ST's units and served as a reserve TE… Tallied 6 catches for 75 yards and a long of 30… Notched 3 Tkl's on ST's… In the 4th quarter against LSU, QB Feleipe Franks handed the ball off to a motioning Krull, who turned and completed a 15-yard pass to Franks in the redzone that led to the go-ahead score for Florida.

84. TE/WR Kyle Pitts 6-6 246 So **** - fast, athletic mis-match, great hands
Played in 11 games as a key member of Florida’s ST's units and served as a reserve TE… Tallied three catches for 73 yards and 1 TD.

88. TE/ST's Kemore Gamble
rsSo 6-3 246 ****
Played in all 13 games as a key member of Florida’s ST's units and served as a reserve TE… Tallied 7 catches for 58 yards… Notched 1 Tkl on ST's…

81. TE/ST's Dante Lang rsFr 6-5 253 **** (also DE in HS)
9. #1 TE-H Keon Zipperer Fr 6-2 232 **** UA-AA
(as good as Keon is, he's a likely redshirt in 2019 unless ST's)

Because UF had 3 rsSr's leave after 2018, the above guys got limited playing time, but if anyone thinks that means that group is not talented and as tough as nails,,, you better think again... o_O (iG)

I agree but do you really think we will have many more passing yards than Miami at the end of 2019?

Have to call this out...just plain false. I was at that Orange Bowl game (and most every home game as I have been a season ticket holder since I went to school there in 1988)...and it was nowhere close to being more UW fans, could go 25%, 30% at most. As far as more FSU fans at Miami home games please. Go get another drink or puff because you're obviously on something.

Let's see if you say that after the game...

Jeff Thomas
KJ Osbourn
Mike Harley
Mark Pope
Brain Hightower

I'm sure you will remember these TE names after the game as well...

Brevin Jordan
Will Mallory

You really think Florida has the edge at TE as well???:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Please. Brevin Jordan and Will Mallory are about as good a 1-2 TE combo in the country. Not great stats last year as true freshmen but that was also because out passing game was beyond horrible (#112 in the NCAA)

Both TE are big-time talents and will be playing on Sundays.

14. Brevin Jordan, Miami
2018 Stats: Caught 32 passes for 287 yards (9.0 ypc) and four touchdowns.

Jordan and the Canes have plenty to prove after receiving a ton of preseason hype. He’s a dangerous threat downfield, but Miami must find a new quarterback. Miami’s receivers have potential just like Jordan, but someone needs to step up.

Well Jeff Thomas was a headcase/problem and left the team and Diaz let him back. Mike Harley is average. Mark Pope almost transferred and had 1 catch last year. Honestly there are a lot of questions surrounding Miami’s WR unit if you are being honest with yourself and isn’t even close to as strong as UFs WR unit. Plus Miami likely doesn’t have much at QB at the moment either.

Naw, why remember the names of the losers...
But hey, how about a little pre-game comparison, your's and our's...

Note the Dink & Dunk specialist for the scUM thugs:

TE Kyle Pitts 6-6 246 -- 24.3 yds/rec

TE Lucas Krull 6-6 255 -- 12.5 yds/rec

TE Brevin Jordan 6-3 245 - 9.0 yds/rec

TE Kemore Gamble 6-3 246 -- 8.3 yds/rec

TE Will Mallory 6-5 230 - 7.4 yds/rec

And I won't even bother with the WR's comparison, that's a joke on the scUM.

It sure looked like there were more Wisky fans on TV that night because all I saw were the Wisky fans in front of the cameras flashing their own chains as well as throwing up a W sign all night long.

Pitts...3 career catches. Wow there's a proven player. o_O
Krull 6 catches
Gamble 7

So lets see that's a total of 16 receptions, 203 yards, 1 TD

Jordan alone as a true freshman and one of the worst passing years in UM history had 32 receptions, 287 yards and 4 TD's. I would say advantage Miami at TE.:D

I agree with you at tight end. But then why wouldn't that argument apply to wide receiver too? Now tell us how many catches and yards your receivers had last year.

The problem is you guys average about 55k per home game. So there are always roughly 20k empty seats. I believe 3 years ago you guys averaged around 49k. Lots of gaps for opposing fans to gobble up seats.

At a stadium that is an actual home for the Miami Dolphins.

Your numbers are way off. Last year Miami averaged 61,469 per game, Hard Rock Stadium capacity is 65,326.

NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!:D

Didn't say that Miami has more proven or better WR than Florida, did call it even saying you guys like yours and we like ours, we will find out on game day.

And did the scUM thugs play an SEC defense schedule?
And were there 3 rsSr TE's playing in front of Jordan?

TE/ST's Moral Stephens rsSr - 12 Gms - 8 for 106 yds, 13.3 yds/rec, 3 TD's, L-26 --- Now with the Denver Broncos

TE C'Yontae Lewis rsSr - 7 Gms - 9 for 128 yds, 14.2 yds/rec, L-28

TE/FB/ST's RJ Raymond rsSr - 13 Gms, 1 for 1 Yd, 1 TD.
FB rushing - 2 for 16 yds, 8 ypc. -- 1 ST's Tkl

3 rsSr's = 18 for 235 yds, 13.1 yds/rec, 4 TD's,

Plus the 3 FNG that were playing behind them...
16 for 203 yds, 1 TD

Equals 34 for 438 yds, 12.9 yds/rec, 5 TD's. (not dink and dunk junk)

You see, in Dan's offense, it's committee at every skill position, RB, WR, TE. (lost 3 TE's off the roster, but still have 5 on the roster)
Krull rsJr-Gamble rsSo-Pitts So-Lang rsFr-Zipperer Fr

And now in Dan's 2nd season with his entire offense installed and everyone up to speed in it, those 3-4-5 younger guys will have free rein to show their stuff. And Dan has 5 deep injury protection at TE.
:D:p:D
Any advantage that you thought you has just went down the drain, chump.
