Carry over to Gator 2023-24 Basketball :-)

Funny thing about that.....is that UK fans are being UK fans by complaining about the officiating as well.

They never foul without it being called. They never lost a single basketball game fairly....just ask them. It's always the "Sec bogeyman" out to get them.
We lost that game fairly ....it’s called sloppy play and poor coaching VS an improving team that took it strongly against the home squad

congrats to the Gators.... can’t wait until Cal is gone.

This officiating is is bogus.
For the most part I actually thought the officiating was at least fair to good for both teams. Granted that’s a pretty low bar.

That Clayton kid obviously made a clutch shot to force OT. Dillingham missing that second free throw right before that was a killer for us. In OT, our poor defensive play came back to bite us.

Not much more I can say except congrats on the win.

I think your depth in the OT was the deciding factor. Down two starters coupled with Golden playing a lot of players especially the bigs. UK was just gassed.

Their white boy led UK in scoring but went all Riley Kugel on us in the end with the turnover he committed.

Pullin had both arms hacked going to the goal. No call. I don’t like to complain about the officiating but good lord don’t make it so obvious.
I said exactly the same thing about that obvious hack / no call.

My final comment on the uneven foul calls was,,,,, TYPICAL of the SEC's excuse for game officials....

Pullin got away with a blatant push-off, also. I think last night's game was about as an evenly called game as I've seen in a long time, especially considering where it was played.

Cats were down a couple of players and candidly looked a little fatigued in OT. Maybe just the emotional drain of Clayton's 3. KY is loaded with final 4 talent, now can Cal get them there? Gators will be fighting all season for a bid.

Looking back on it in retrospect you are correct. We may have been fortunate especially since we had more free throws.

I'll just take the win and be happy with that, but I still believe that they got away with more than the Gators did in that game. The SEC officials calls have been a sore spot for me for decades....

I'm actually hoping the Cats go all the way. Never thought I'd say it, but I put a futures bet on them to win it all.

Big game Saturday at Texas A&M to see if we can back up the huge win at Kentucky. Texas A&M's record isn't that great, but they are actually a better offensive rebounding team that Florida. It will be crucial for us to keep shooting it well, limit turnovers and keep emphasizing tough rebounding.

Tough loss today. Had a big lead the first half, A&M scored the last 7 of the half to cut it to 6, then came out and just outplayed us the 2nd half. They played better defense and attacked the basket way better than us. We were lazy on offense the 2nd half, just settling for long shots as the clock ran down time and again. Still had a chance to win at the end, but missed 2 open shots the last 5 seconds or so.

Hate blowing a 13 point lead in the 2nd half, but this team tends to hit the off button when they get a decent lead. AM is tough, especially at home. 5-4 at the halfway point. 2 vs Bama, 1 vs Burn, 1 uga, 1 lsu, 2 vandy, 1 mizzou and 1 SC. Defend our home court and handle vandy on the road will get us 5-4 and 10-8 which should be good enough.

I'm not even reading that. I watched the game, and that was some BS. I feel like a KY fan after each and every one of their losses. 😂 A&M got every official break in the book in the second half
The whistles helped slow down the pace for sure, but we hurt ourselves too.

There they they go yet again (biased and/or corrupt SEC officials).

I'd have my non starter guys fouling out when the officials let the opposing thugs run loose.
They need an 'enforcer' kind of guy. And speaking of that....
BTW, where is 'Shimmy' 6-10 250, and why is he not playing now that he's beck from injury???

Because I'm like SOS, I'm an Old Testament kind of individual....

"Really, the biggest thing for me was that there were a total of 13 free throws taken by both teams in the first half, and then A&M took 20 in the second half to our 2,,,
For the game, 24 free throws to our 11.” -- Golden

They were the ones playing nutts-tight aggressive 'all over the Gators' defense, but the ones that are constantly getting mugged are the ones that the fouls were called on at
a 10 to 1 ratio in the 2nd half....

Typical SEC Corrupt/Biased Officials.... 😖

This is why you have to win your home games. You ain’t gettin’ no help on the road.

When the rules of the game are no longer followed or enforced, then you no longer have a game, you just have an officials controlled entertainment show, (pro wrassling).

Similar to when the laws don't apply equally from top to bottom, you no longer have a FREE country, you instead have a dictator(s) controlled banana republic....

But it's okay in both cases, because the public gutless sheep just continue to tolerate it as they munch their way through life......

I ask this question every year when this subject comes up in the middle of basketball season, but I don’t recall ever receiving an answer: why would the SEC be running a ref-driven conspiracy against Florida?

Basketball is a hard game to officiate. And there’s plenty of bad reffing on top of it. But why are the Gators the particular target again?

It's broader than just UF, although UF has always been the whipping boys for the SEC.
Home offices in Alabama is a long standing part of that.

Overall, it's driven by SEC $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and every institution plays it's part.
JMOHO's as always...

You've almost never hit a target, but you keep on poking your dog just the same...
