Grier doesn't understand how to take what the defense gives him. He rifles the ball into his first read regardless of coverage. Did anyone notice how he was yanked from the rest of the game after he made a series of dumb decisions that could have cost us the game if the defender could catch? Very telling of what's been going on at practice.
Treon will never set the world on fire with his arm, but is a better runner and is a smarter football player than Grier. Treon will keep us in games and let our defense win it. He will not force the ball into triple coverage and stare his receiver down like Grier. Treon is a better game manger. Grier would lose us some games with his mistakes alone.
