i'd agree with this. The answer is overwhelmingly binary, but biologically there are a small % of hermaphrodites and others similarly unique in their presentation. It has nothing to do with feelings / emotions / identity issues, that is entirely different ...
Yes, Mother Nature cooks up a diverse batch. The issue is too many people deny they exist, I personally think that’s cruel, they think it’s gods word. The screaming is a response to that. It’s annoying but it’s not that difficult to understand. I also don’t think it’s good for young people that are more gender confused than let’s say I was or likely you were.
That's where gender norms are helpful. If the kid rebels and the signs are there, you deal with it, if not, the kid grows up a happy, well-adjusted boy or girl.
that's where overly progressive parents are wrong and do damage by providing no guidance other than "you can be anything you want". that is asking for problems. If the adults in the room deliberately confuse kids or enable confusion, they are 100% the problem ...

You don’t think drag queens are trannies??? I think they are old school trannies. But yes actual transvestites are relatively rare. You may be right about drag queens although I would be shocked if many were not trans…. Best to ask @GhostOfMatchesMalone he has first hand knowledge of the subject..

Ahhh, yes part changing is a more modern thing, my first boss was trans, closeted I figured he was gay. Sadest thing you will ever see. The beatings are not going to stop until the closed minded idiots stop thumping and start thinking. I may be wrong here but I doubt it.
I hate that those people are marginalized in any way. They deserve equal rights, not special rights.
I went to dental school in SF in the 80s. Many of our profs were gay, drawn by the lifestyle, and several of them were the best in the business, so you have a bunch of students who are better trained dentists because of them.
Several of the patients at the school were gay and a few were transvestites. When patients were transferred from graduating students to underclassmen, there was a wonderful tradition where the most flamboyant ones were transferred to the most homophobic students, after finding out who they were ...

So, in your view Gender (actually let’s flip terms) so “Sex” is one’s biological sex that one can, to some extent alter through surgery and hormone therapy and “Gender” is a series of norms and mannerisms that have tended to support the prior but could diverge for a small segment of the population.
Would that reflect your view?
i am not sure i would use that language, norms and mannerisms can be superficial, what your are isnt. a woman thats born into the wrong body, or a man. i had a client that was a gay man in a womans body, she or he didnt tell me that until 20 years later, when she or he did, it made perfect sense. mother nature is a mad scientist.....
