Apparently some people think it's OK for our government to withold data regarding government programs. For those who do...please explain why it's acceptable?

Of course we all understand national security matters...but domestic non-military programs? I think we should be able to see everything. Why not?

Ironic isn't it that with all the NSA spying and storage of all of phone calls, emails, and web activity we are told that if we are doing wrong, then we have nothing to hide...funny how that does not apply to the govt itself huh?

I just want to know what the concept is that allows "secrecy" in a non national security setting? We have private organizations now having to sue the governement to obtain information that should be available to us all. Are liberals and democrats for this? Under what rationale? Really interested in the left wing stance here.

What's the point?

There's not enough people of required intelligence not attention span to understand the information and then change their vote based off of it.

You guys might over estimate how much the majority of people give a dAmn. For everyone else, it just creates more talking points to bitch about but can do nothing about.
