So who else leaves early?

I think Slaton might be the only one it makes sense to if it's likely he is going to be a 4th rounder like people seem to think now. Teams like what they saw recently from him apparently.

Toney seems like he might even though he would help himself with another year. I just don't see him going in the 1st 5 rounds but you never know I guess.

Anyone else a possibility?

I’d like to see Slaton stay. He could really help himself by staying another year. He played really good the 2nd half of the season.

First 2 rounds and have your degree is an automatic go.
First 2 rounds with no degree is a maybe go, more so if you're weak academically.
After than, you need to stay and get a backup plan in place (degree).

You can be smart over a lifetime.
You can be greedy in the moment.
Life is all about the quality of your decisions,,, it always has been.... o_O

Life is a 'do it yourself project' so don't muck it up...

Oh BTW, talk about a wasted ship,,, he should have to give UF a refund...
Redshirt junior center Gorjok Gak has left the Florida men's basketball team for personal reasons. Gak plans to finish his degree at UF this spring and will pursue grad transfer options.

Gak appeared in 46 games at UF, averaging 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds.

IMO, Toney another Jachai Polite & he will leave UF. Read article below -

"...And despite the injuries -- he played in just seven of the team's 13 games this year -- the junior receiver feels like he's shown enough to earn some recognition from NFL scouts. He doesn't think a lack of extensive game tape would hurt him.

"Not necessarily," Toney said Monday night. "The NFL, they don't look at injuries when they do the draft. I feel like I (have enough tape)."

Not worried. There are a lot of guys who can take an end around for a 3 yard loss.

LG89,

Agree ! Too much East - West instead of North - South with Toney.

We remember the exceptions, but Razzle, Dazzle plays seldom accomplish a whole lot.

If he comes back & learns the route tree, great; if not maybe the NFL will come calling.

There was a reason why Mullen didn't give him many reps prior to his injury.

Toney is exactly the kind that needs a college degree, even if it's in basket-weaving. Otherwise, he'll be a late night convenience store clerk if he's lucky, or riding on the back of a truck if he's not....

If he leaves early, then good luck to him, because he's really gonna need all of the luck that he can get...

If he wants a shot at professional football somewhere he needs more work on the field. Not a knock on the kid but he's seen limited snaps.

He was caught a couple times for some losses but if you don’t defend those perfectly he can break a long one anytime he touches the ball. His run against f$u is a perfect example. They had him bottled up and he still broke a long one. I know he takes some heat for juking too much but that’s his game. I wouldn’t think he’d ever be a possession receiver. He’s a change of pace guy you like bc the other team has to prepare for him or he’ll burn them. And he did score our first touchdown of the season, so...

He's an explosive player no doubt, he can change direction and he goes up field...I think another year in college would benefit him. His choice we'll see.

I agree. I think he could really improve his draft stock with a full year where he is more effective. And prove that he can stay healthy

I'm surprised about Toney. It feels like he's played in all of 10 plays this year, no more. He hasn't accounted for a single 1st down as far as I can remember but I could be wrong there. No TD's, not much else to speak of this year at all. NFL scouts aren't going to be intrigued by a guy who was injured the past 2 seasons but showed a nifty move in his Freshman year against that one team, and if they are, then damn am I in the wrong business.

Toney scored 1 TD this year. The first TD of the season against Miami.

Toney 2019 - 7 Gms

Rushing - 12 for 74 yds, loss -15, Net 59 yds, 4.9 ypc, 0 TD's, L-26
Receiving - 10 for 194 yds, 19.4 yds/rec, 1 TD, L-66
Passing - 1 for no catch.
P-Return - 1 for 12 yds
K-Return - 1 for 21 yds

I wouldn't draft him (yet), but I've seen NFL GM's do dumber chit in the past...
I really like Toney, but while the Gator's don't 'need' him to return, I still think it would be good for him and the Gator team if he came back and got better and his degree.

Classes start today I think so if someone can see if they are registered that might give us our answer on a few of them.

If Toney goes I would think 7th rounder or even FA I think. Special teams would probably assure he makes a roster however.

He might go undrafted...I don't wish anything bad on him but I think it's just a bad move.

Hard to believe none of these sites have tracked down whether Slaton or Toney has failed to sign up for classes this semester.
