NASCAR was made aware that a noose was found in the garage stall of the 43 team. We are angry and outraged, and cannot state strongly enough how seriously we take this heinous act. We have launched an immediate investigation, and will do everything we can to identify the person(s) responsible and eliminate them from the sport. As we have stated unequivocally, there is no place for racism in NASCAR, and this act only strengthens our resolve to make the sport open and welcoming to all."

One thing that bothers me about our side harping on Chicago is that when the left finally gets around to dealing with it, the narrative will not be about addressing the systemic cultural problems causing the violence but just a focus on guns.

Sad part of our history but 60 years ago black on black crime wasn't even included in our statistics. I'm sure that wasn't true everywhere but it was largely true in the deep south.

Consequences for their actions is largely what we see them pushing back on today. And making a baby has consequences...some good, all difficult.
The inner cities are dreadful places to live (especially in South Side Chicago). Those people have been ignored for decades and no one cared until some people were killed on the North Side of the city. I have seen this coming for years and the fact that any politician can politicize this is despicable. We all must get involved and take responsibility if we expect to change a culture. The only thing I can do is help my own community instead of hiding from it and ignoring their plight.
I had a sermon on this issue yesterday. If we obey our heavenly Father then we will also be obedient to our community laws.
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother' (this is the first commandment with a promise), 'that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.
But now the goal, especially in parts of the poorer and higher crime rate areas of our society, is to have babies with as many women as possible. Women are more and more often doing the same by wanting babies from multiple fathers. It's cool...it's the desired result.
We are celebrating that BS. And then when someone gets hurt or killed, we're even saying ______ was the father of 6 children. Like those children were being raised by ______.
How do you reverse this trend? I have no idea.
We have to introduce these people to Jesus. Those that don't know him will respect the relationship with Christ and in turn respect humanity. The good news is there are many Christians in these areas we just need to reach out to them and then we can join forces as a Crusade for all people. I'm all for community Christ intervention and there are many pastors/ministers/elders that are merging to take back our communities.
Well sadly we are not tough enough. Most, a huge bulk, dont have the character to do what is needed. Criminal justice reform....Ha a Trump failing actually...in a few cases foster homes for some kids in far way suburbia might need to be used as both parents spend life in jail instead of letting people out early or going easy on momma so that the kids have at least one parent to raise them. Are we committed to such measures that we can do this in the few extreme cases where this might happen?
So in any group there will be a remnant with character and morals. The wheat will have to be separated from the chaff and allowed to regrow. Its a solution that many will not like.
Serious question: If Floyd and Brooks were guilty of what we have been told of on the internet, why were they not in jail for decades or life? Sorry but if you are going to redeem a culture you need to remove the goats from the sheep.
Bernie Madoff committed a financial crime and will die in jail. These guys were violent and threatened lives and they were out on the street until their luck ran out.
Our system is skewed and in a sense gave up because being tough on crime was separating the bad from the good. Violent crimes declined over the last few decades but people looked at the demographics and said wow there has to be some racist component to the justice system instead of looking to change a culture that produced those results.

One of the key problems in Chicago is that Rahm Emmanuel had the ACLU draw up a 3-4 page interview report that the police have to fill out for every “interaction” with the public; including each and every instance of obtaining an eye witness account .... it’s a paperwork nightmare to do any real police work in obtaining leads

I did read those words. I took it as you jumping to the Smollett exception, but leaving yourself an out if it turns out to be true. I just find it odd that some people now automatically bring up Smollett ever time a racist act is accused.
Why would you not feel bad for all of the victims? All 14 murdered in Chicago were most likely not in covenant with Christ and that is a double tragedy.
